"GENOCIDE"
It seems that the people in Toronto are totally into AMLL, 'cause the Stadium was 3/4 full. A real incredible scene. Avril Lavigne came out and sang the Canadian National Anthem, then Miguel de Blanco surprised everyone by coming out and singing the Mexican National Anthem. Then the announcers welcomed everyone to the PPV and announced that tonight a mini Tournament for the vacant Tag Team Titles would take place. Also it was announced that Mendoza Torres wouls replace Black Shadow Fox II in the AMLL World Title Match. It seems that Shadow picked up a minor injury and was in no shape to compete.
1st Match:
Tournament Semifinal for the vacant Tag Team Titles
The Divine Thugs defeated The D & D Foundation
Reverend Rudy himself was actually pretty impressive in this match. Duke and Drummond worked well together and managed to get
some good heat from the crowd. Eventually though, the Reverend was able to get the pin on Duke after The Black Sheep struck him with his finisher "The Initiation" and advance to the Final.
2nd Match:
Ramona defeated El Huracan Rosa
Both ladies were looking superb and all the male fans were going crazy, as they were really not wearing much at all. Ramona used alot of dirty tactics and was throughout this match. El Huracan Rosa surprised a few people with her flying skills. Ramona would get the win though, after hitting El Huracan Rosa with the Widow's Peak. Overall a good performance by the girls.
3rd Match:
Tournament Semifinal for the vacant Tag Team Titles
Negro Judas & Lupe Garza defeated Sour Grapes
Matt and Freddy Grape are great at pumping up the crowd and the fans really were into them. Judas and Garza on the other hand were great at provoking the fans. Another great match and if it hadnt been for the interference from the NWA, the brothers would have had this match won. But with the ref distracted by Pierre Conti , Sumo Asako & Abdul Akbar Alsam got in the ring and took them out. Negro got the pin on Freddy for the win. After the match, all 5 stars started beating on them until Aguila and Kid Crazy ran out for the save.
4th Match:
AMLL Cruiserweight Title Match
CJ Franchise (c) defeated Kazin Yoshimaru, Isano Luchadoro, Pantera Jr & Rey Guerero
Wild match between these 5 stars. The action took place everywhere, inside the ring, outside the ring, in the stands, in the back, basically everywhere. There was one superb bit where Guerero bounced Franchise's head off the top turnbuckle, the middle one and the bottom one around 5 times on each, then he let Isano in to do the reverse, bouncing Franchise's head all the way back up each turnbuckle until he was comically dizzy and fell on his face. After some great action, including a 5 men superplex+powerslam, CJ Franchise picked up the win when he hit Yoshimaru with the Breaking Habit. Rey Guerero was definitely the man of the match and fans were totally behind him.
5th Match:
Tournament Final for the vacant Tag Team Titles
Negro Judas & Lupe Garza defeated The Divine Thugs
Another great match, with alot of close pinfall attempts. Lupe and Negro focused on 2Fon's arm for most of the match and kept him away from his corner. Reverend Rudy eventually got the hot tag, but couldn't overcome his opponents 'dirty tactics. Negro got the pin on the Reverend and with that they were crowned new tag team champions. The crowd wasn't too happy with this. Definitely the match of the night.
6th Match:
AMLL World Title Match
Mendoza Torres defeated Dmac
Great ovation for the young Torres and like usual, Dmac was booed heavily throughout the contest. They gave this match alot of time, as they wrestled for over 30 minutes. Dmac almost had this match won a couple of times, but Torres showed alot of heart. Mendoza eventually got the pin with a sick flying DDT from the top rope. He celebrated in the ring with his new Title to end the show.
Biggest Pop:
1. Mendoza Torres after winning the Title.
2. Rey Guerero
3. Aguila & Kid Crazy after saving Sour Grapes
Biggest Heat:
1. New World Army for interfering in the tag match.
2. Dmac
3. CJ Franchise
