First off, they screw the board up completely and have totally disabled our quick reply, which so many of us have gotten used to using over the years.
Secondly, it is lead to waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many people trying to spam up the boards to get requests for wrestling gifs, media etc etc. It's just getting a tad annoying and alot of the hardcore members have spoken. We would love to see new members banter and discuss every topic possible, but its nice to see some actual interaction as well. A perfect example of a really good new member is
Highlight Reel. (just one example, dont freak out if it wasnt you there are lots of good new members haha) Those are the new members that we notice instantly and are welcomed and encouraged. You don't have to write 10 page articles for every post either. It's not about how many posts you have either. Most of us lost track along time ago. I did. Its also nice to see new opinions on things as well.
Monks and WC have never been known as forums that enjoy too many "LOL", "THX" and "shes hot" type of posts. Its too much to sift through for most members. Therefore to cut down on garbage posts we will be disabling the hide hack. I (and most members I would think) would prefer 1-3 solid posts over 50 that are THNKS, LOL's and what not.
With that said, some things like Mikk's GIFs may become available only to Premium members if he so chooses to go that route, as well as Multimedia. This has not currently been decided.
So if you are posting media, ladies or any other type of material that used to garner hide tags, please stop. We will unhide everything else already done once we have decided which direction to go with them.
