Several Updates

Hello WH faithful,

Got a couple of updates to share with everyone here, might be kinda long-winded so bear with me.

1) Googlemap ME hack added - This provides a world map location for all users to get a general idea of where everyone is from. To plot your location, you need to add your longitude/lattitude. Obviously, no one knows their actual long/lat, so I took the liberty of hacking the XML file to display another link on the main Googlempa page, it takes you to a map site which will provide you long/lat via address.

2) Advanced Statistics hack added - Kind of a fun feature here. It basically shows any piece of statistical information you'd ever want to know about WH and your fellow members. Check it out on the navbar.

3) Spell Check hack added - This one was long overdue for the JV's and JM Punk's of the world. In any area where you would post something, i.e. NEWTHREAD, NEWREPLY, QUICKREPLY, PM, etc.... there will be a button conveniently labelled "Spell Check" which will pop-up a window with your current work inside and go through the usual spell checker routine.

4)Template Compressor - This one has been in for awhile, but only Administrator's know about it. Basically it compresses the site templates in order to make the site load faster. You'll see no physical changes at all, but the site loads about 10-15% faster now.

5) Misc. Site cleanup - I cleaned up several tidbits on the site. To the best of my recollection they are: Secondary navbar double links were removed, shoutbox resized including text input field for easier chatting, SB renamed (Temporarily), delete button on SB renamed to "Clear", I've readded the "# of Shouts" hack that we had on the Metal skin (check your user cp, click a user's name, or check a forum profile to see what I mean), I've cleaned up some of the dead/useless smilies AND readded the smiley table next to the ShoutBox archive, and I renamed vbPlaza to just "Store" for new users.


As always, if you have any questions about these updates or have any suggestions for future ones, feel free to contact myself or any of the other administrators and we'll take them under consideration. As an aside, I've recently discovered how to change most of the test on all the pages like "Lil' SB Jr.", if you guys/gals notice anything that you think would be better clarified with different text, just let me know and I'll look into.

Another addition that just took place. Waffles helped create new w00t/groan buttons for WH, check it out in any thread, I think you all will like them.
