Is it really necessary to make one for every new member? It is annoying having to go and mark the forum read every single day. Or if it is possible to make it so I don't see the forum at all. Thanks.

Yeah, I agree. They are pretty annoying and very few ever get responded to.

Most of them sign up to look at the Celebrity pics and never respond to any threads.

I'm not a fan of them myself either as I've mentioned to a few previously. It's basically just spam. Post Felix's little introduction tidbit in one thread and those that are actually interested in becoming a poster will most probably read this and can then make their own introduction thread...

I think Felix has set it up as an automatic message that is created when a new member signs up. I like the idea, it's just a shame that the majority of new members do not post that much if at all.
