Man, the NFL needs to do something about rookie contracts. That is a ridiculous amount of money.

Probably the right move for the Lions. I'm not convinced that Stafford is going to be an elite NFL QB, but he's a good prospect and fills a need. Now just don't rush him into the starting position and destroy his confidence.
