Wwe's ECW 1/6/09, Live from Rosemont Theater in Chicago Illinois

We start the show with a promo of Christan's victory over Morrison and Miz last week. After that match, Jack Swagger attacked and mauled Christan and left him bloodied in the ring. As we went off the air last week. Swagger smiled as he held up the ECW Title.

The ECW theme plays followed with the fireworks. Matt Striker and Todd Ghrisham welcome us to the show.
Todd: Hello everybody and welcome to ECW from Chicago Illinois!
Matt: I always loved the windy city of Chicago
Todd: Well, anyway we got tag team action tonight as The Miz and John Morrison face off aganist Evan Borune and Tommy Dreamer!

ECW's General Manager Tiffany makes her way to the ring for an announcement.
Tiffany: I have an announcement to make about the Royal Rumble!
The fans start to cheer
Tiffany: Well after Swaggers attack to Christan last week, I'd decided to make tonights main event Christan Vs Jack Swagger in a non-title match! But if Christan wins, he'll face Swagger at the Royal Rumble for the ECW Championship!
The fans start to cheer.
Tiffany: Well thats all I got to say. Thanks everybody, and enjoy tonights ECW.

Mark Henry w/ Tony Atlas Vs Paul Burchill w/ Katie Lee (Royal Rumble Qualifying Match)
We begin the match with Henry throwing Burchill into the turnbuckle. Henry gives a couple of right hand punches to Burchill before Henry hits him with a backbreaker. Burchill throws weak punches at Henry that doesn't affect him. Henry holds Burchill for the Worlds Strongest Slam. Followed by the Worlds Strongest splash. Henry goes for a pin. 1..2..3 Atlas comes in the ring as he raises Henry's hand for victory.
Winner and New Royal Rumble Entry Mark Henry (0:48)

We see John Morrison and the Miz Backstage
Morrison: I can't believe we lost our World Tag Team Titles last week!
Miz: Calm down Morrison, im gonna talk to Tiffany to see if we'll face Carlito and Primo next week on Smackdown.
Tiffany: Since you want that, you will get it, only if you defeat Evan Borune and Tommy Dreamer up next.
Morrison: Yes, thank you Tiffany!
Miz: Now see Morrison, we got our....
Carlito: Well see you next week on ECW, good luck, your gonna need it!

Commercial Break

John Morrison and Miz Vs Evan Borune and Tommy Dreamer
The match starts off with Miz and Dreamer. Miz hits a couple of quick kicks to Dreamer, followed by a big boot to the face. The Miz gets the tag to John Morrison. Morrison delivers a dropkick onto Dreamer. Morrison goes for a cover. 1..2.. and Dreamer kicks out. Morrison picks up Dreamer. Tommy hits a couple of punches to Morrison before throwing him out of the ring. Evan Borune is about to do a moonsault to Morrison onto the outside of the ring before Miz pushes Borune and he flips onto the matt, as Morrison moves out of the way. Morrison comes back into the ring and returns to attack Dreamer. Morrison delivers a spinning dropkick onto Dreamer. Morrison tags back in Miz. The Miz goes up to the top turnbuckle and delivers a flying moonsault onto Dreamer. Dreamer gets back up and hits Miz with a clothesline. Dreamer tags in Borune. He starts to hit a series of clotheslines and right hands on Miz and Morrison. He hits a spinning heelkick onto Miz. Borune goes on to the top turnbuckle and tries to go for the 360 flip before Morrison pushes him off the top turnbuckle. It allows the Miz to hit the Reality Check onto Borune. Miz goes for the pin, 1..2..3 and the match is over.
Winners are John Morrison and The Miz. (11:43)

Main Event: Jack Swagger Vs Christian (Non-Title)
The match starts off with Christian hitting Swagger with left handed punches. Christian irish whips Swagger into the turnbuckle and hits Swagger with a big boot into the turnbuckle. Christian tries to hit a dropkick onto Swagger but misses. Swagger then goes for a cover. 1..2.. and Christian gets the shoulder up. Swagger hits a shoulder block to Christian and followed by a backdrop to the outside of the ring. Swagger exits the ring and hits Christian's head aganist the annouce table. Swagger then goes on top of the table and tries to hit Christian with a splash but misses and Swagger goes through the table. Christian gets back into the ring at 6 and Swagger at 9 1/2. Christian gets hit by a headbut from Swagger followed by a big boot. Swagger goes for a pin attempt. 1..2.. and Christian kicks out at 2. Jack Swagger then tries to go for a running bulldog but Christian counters and hits a clothesline. Christian gets Swagger and tries to go for an Unprettier, before its reversed and Swagger hits a Gorillia Presslam onto Christian. Swagger tries to get the pin. 1..2.. and Finlay comes out with Hornswoggle and distract the referee. Finlay tosses Christian the Shaleigh while Swagger is distracted with Finlay and Hornswoggle. Christian hits Swagger with the Shaleigh while the referee was distracted with Finlay. Christian goes for a pin. 1..2..3 and Christian gets the win.
Winner and Number 1 Contender for ECW Title at The Royal Rumble, Christian. (9:43)

ECW goes off the air with Christian looking at the ECW Title along with Finlay.

Royal Rumble, live on January 27th from American Airlines Center in Dallas Texas.
