As you may know, TNA Mobile sent out a message claiming someone had bought 80% of the company shares. Anyone I have talked to inside TNA believe it is for real and is not a storyline. That effetely rules out Karen Angle who many believe is the mystery female. Of course, TNA are vastly superior to WWE in keeping secrets so it could be a very well planned out work. If however it is legitimate, there are very few people who in this current economic climate would buy 80% of a company that isn’t even a guaranteed money maker like WWE is. The mystery investor would have to either have more money than they know what to do with, or be incredibly stupid. We are banking on it being the first. PWInsider.com
March 16th 2009 1:59 PM Coming off of Destination X last night, many people I have talked to have questioned why Jimmy Rave became the X-Division Champion with so little build. TNA were going for the surprise factor and they look to have gotten it as no-one called Rave walking out with the title. Rave has been doing next to nothing for several months now but with Vince Russo writing the shows, that doesn’t matter. It also helps when Russo is a fan of yours like he is with Rave. On to a rumour killer now, contrary to popular belief, Alex Shelley did not fuck up again and is not in trouble. He didn’t do anything wrong to contribute to the loss.
Abyss meanwhile took a massive spot that saw him go through glass, tacks and a flaming table to end the Falls Count Anywhere match last night. If it wasn’t obvious from watching the show itself, Abyss will not be on iMPACT! For the next several weeks and it is questionable if he will even be at Lockdown. While he did get hurt in the fall, he was not seriously injured.
