"Showtime" Eric Young & Shark Boy

Kiyoshi and Bashir got past the language barrier and worked over Shark Boy for the vast majority of the match. Shark Boy attempted to make a comeback several times but ended up getting double teamed and brought back to Bashir & Kiyoshi’s corner. A mistimed double team from the first time pairing allowed Shark Boy to duck it and roll though to get the hot tag to Eric Young. “Showtime” Eric Young came in fresh and raring to go. Young hit Bashir with a Death Valley Driver before turning his attentions to Kiyoshi. Kiyoshi momentarily gained the upper hand but Young fought back and managed to hit a Wheelbarrow Neckbreaker for the three count.

Result: Eric Young and Shark Boy via Pinfall.

Don West made his late entrance as Mike Tenay had been flying solo up until now. West and Tenay exchange looks of hatred before sitting down and getting on with the job.

"The War Machine" Rhino

The newcomer from Britain continued his good run in TNA with another solid performance against the war machine Rhino. Magnus and Rhino exchanged stiff shots throughout the hard hitting contest and it was youth that won out over experience. Rhino hit Magnus with a belly to belly suplex but gave Magnus too much time to recover before attempting the Gore. As a result Magnus leapfrogged the on rushing Rhino and sent him into the turnbuckles. Magnus grabbed the head of Rhino and took him down and out with a Swinging Reverse Neckbreaker for the win.

Result: Brutus Magnus via Pinfall.

Magnus celebrates in the ring before the opening video package for Destination X airs.

“The Phenomenal” AJ Styles

Referee: Andrew Thomas
Time Limit: 30 Minutes

Styles and Booker put on a showcase in the opening contest which was very evenly contested. Each man had several chance to win but failed to keep his opponent down for the three count each time. Styles gained a head of steam but was stopped in his tracks when bouncing off the ropes and getting tripped up by Sharmell. Andrew Thomas saw the interference and sent Sharmell to the back. Booker protested but only ended up hurting himself. Booker continued arguing long after Sharmell was gone and as a result ended up flat on hi back following the Pele kick from Styles. Styles took the opening and proceeded to connect with the Styles Clash to pick up the victory and become the TNA Legends Champion.

Result: AJ Styles becomes the TNA Legends Champion via Pinfall.

Styles celebrates in the ring with his newly won championship and the small matter of once again putting himself out in front as the only man in TNA History to win every title available to him. We are shown a quick replay package of how Styles became the champion for the first time before going backstage to Knockout Law Traci Brooks, Interviewer Lauren and SoCal Val.

Traci explains to Val that she never expected the workload to be this much with the Knockouts, but with all the complaints about the make up people and whatnot, she has been swept off her feet recently. Traci then offers Val a job as her assistant to help her out. Traci plays the friend card and Val accepts the offer to become second in command.

Taylor Wilde, Roxxi & ODB

Referee: Shane Sewell
Time Limit: 20 Minutes

ODB, Roxxi and Taylor Wilde controlled much of the match by keeping the inexperienced Madison Rayne in the ring. The fact that Rayne turned on Taylor only a few weeks ago may have also played a part in isolating her. After several minutes of the relentless beating of Rayne, Angelina Love and Velvet Sky discarded the rules like they so often do and make it a tornado tag match with all six Knockouts in the ring as the same time. Velvet Sky hit Taylor with the Beauty Spot but ODB was on hand to prevent the three count. Taylor Wilde then thought she had the match won when she hit Angelina Love with a German Suplex but Rayne and Sky both broke the count. Roxxi eventually got to hit the Voodoo Drop after three failed attempts on Madison Rayne. Roxxi also managed to pick up the three count as a result.

Result: Roxxi, Taylor Wilde & ODB via Pinfall.

Following the match, Knockout Law Traci Brooks’ new assistant SoCal Val made her way out to the entrance ramp with an announcement to make. Val informed us that by order of Traci Brooks, Roxxi will face the winner of the Awesome Kong vs. Sojourner Bolt Knockouts title match later tonight in a one on one match at Lockdown for the TNA Knockouts Championship. The Hardcore Knockout gets her chance at gold inside the six sides of steel in April.

“The Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe

Referee: Earl Hebner
Time Limit: 30 Minutes

Samoa Joe returned to action with a vengeance against the man who put him on the sidelines. Samoa Joe seemed hell bent on not just winning the match, but crippling Scott Steiner in the process. Steiner, unable to gain any meaningful offence, resorted to cheap tactics and had to use eye gouges and low blows to gain the upper hand and slow down Joe. Steiner finally got on top and wasn’t willing to let go as he may not get a second chance against Joe. Steiner locked in the Steiner Recliner and pulled back as hard as he could. Joe withstood the pain and somehow got to his feet with Steiner still on his back. Joe sent Steiner hard into the corner to break the hold completely before hitting a T-Bone suplex. Joe signalled for the end and kept his promise from last week’s iMPACT! When he made Scott Steiner tap out in the Coquina Clutch.

Result: Samoa Joe via Submission.

Joe kept the Coquina Clutch locked in after the final bell as he choked all the life out of Steiner. Earl Hebner is not an idiot so called for security instead of getting involved himself. It took seven security guards to pull Joe off of Steiner.

Sojourner Bolt w/ Rhaka Khan

Referee: Rudy Charles
Time Limit: 30 Minutes

Well aware of how the Kongtourage worked things in the past, Rudy Charles took the initiative and sent both Raisha Saeed and Rhaka Khan to the back before the match even started. With it now being a straight up one on one match, Sojourner Bolt grew in confidence while Kong for some reason seemed a little worried due to no longer having back up just in case. Bolt took the fight to Kong but in the end her inexperience showed as she took a needless risk and went to the top rope. Kong avoided the cross body attempt and killed Bolt with an Implant Buster followed by an Awesome Bomb for the empathic three count.

Result: Awesome Kong retains via Pinfall.

Awesome Kong looked to continue the beating after the match but new number one contender Roxxi prevented it by introducing a steel chair into the proceedings. Roxxi smashed Kong across the back twice and the head once with the chair before Kong bailed out. Roxxi was left in the ring but she failed to even knock Kong off her feet.
Backstage now where Jeremy Borash is standing by with Team 3D. As per usual Brother Ray does the majority of the talking for the team. Ray says he and his brother have taken a big interest in the happenings in the tag team division in recent weeks. In particular, Beer Money’s Off the Wagon challenge. Brother Ray says they will be paying close attention to the next match, and should Beer Money once again retain, they will be next in line and they wont fail to become 22 time World Tag Team Champions.

The Latin American Xchange

Referee: Andrew Thomas
Time Limit: 40 Minutes

As usual when you are against the L.A.X. you isolate Homicide and pray that Hernandez doesn’t get a tag in at any point. Beer Money Inc obviously did their homework as they did just that. Homicide spent the vast majority of the match on the receiving end of the Beer Money beat down. Anytime Homicide started to comeback, Beer Money cut him off and brought him back to their corner. Homicide needed something big and he got it when he surprised Roode and caught him off guard with a Gringo Cutter. Homicide slowly made his way across to Hernandez and made the tag to save the match for L.A.X. Hernandez came in and cleared house. Jacqueline tried to get involved and paid for it as Hernandez hit her with the Border Toss. With Andrew Thomas distracted trying to remove the unconscious Jacqueline from the ring, James Storm took the chance and smashed a beer bottle across the head of Hernandez. Hernandez was stunned but didn’t go down. Storm followed up with the Last Call before Roode connected with the Northern Lariat. Roode made the pin as Storm made sure Homicide wasn’t going to break the count.

Result: Beer Money Inc Retain via Pinfall.

Beer Money make a quick getaway as Homicide comes in swinging with a steel chair in hand.

Before the next match we Abyss walking in the back with some toys in hand. We then cut to Matt Morgan who is just leaving his locker-room to make his way to the ring. As Morgan walks past the camera man we see Jim Cornette leave the very same locker-room. After another few seconds we get a surprise and see Kevin Nash also leaving the same locker-room.

Abyss

Referee: Rudy Charles
Time Limit: None

Abyss and Matt Morgan promised us a vicious and brutal match and they both delivered on that promise. Falls Count Anywhere basically meant, anything and everything goes and Abyss in particular was sure to take advantage of it. Abyss toyed with Morgan when he could have pinned him several times over. Abyss brought a table into play just beside the entrance ramp. Abyss then proceeded to spread the tacks and broken glass over the table before taking it one step further and spraying lighter fluid on top of the tacks and glass. Abyss introduced a flame to the lighter fluid and set it ablaze before turning his attentions back to Morgan. Morgan seen the fire and got the hell away from it. Morgan run down the entrance tunnel and Abyss followed. Abyss ran head first into a steel chair shot from Morgan. Morgan grabbed Abyss by the hair and sent him off the stage and into the flaming table of glass and tacks. Medics quickly put out the fire but the damage was long since done. Morgan confidently makes his way down to Abyss and pins the lifeless body for the victory.

Result: Matt Morgan via Pinfall.

Even after the match Abyss still hasn’t moved an the medics are worried about him. Morgan stands back on the stage and looks down on the badly beaten body of his former friend. As Abyss is loaded onto a stretcher, we go backstage where Lauren is standing by.

We see Lauren on the corner of the camera as she reports on what she see’s. Hernandez has flipped and is tearing up the place. Hernandez tosses staff members around like they are rag dolls as Homicide tries in vain to calm him down. Hernandez eventually comes across a metal trashcan that he uses to try and kill the camera man with. Lauren runs off as the cameraman falls to the ground and we see Hernandez continue on his warpath.

Jimmy Rave

Referees: Mark Johnson and Shane Sewell
Time Limit: 60 Minutes

As expected, the Ultimate X match saw lots of high risk moves by all six men. Jay Lethal may very well have won the Move of the Night for his massively high risk Diving Elbow Drop from the top of the support beam to Suicide on the outside. Needless to say, neither man was able to get back in the match afterwards. Chris Sabin took Consequences Creed out of the running with a Cradle Shock. Alex Shelley then took his own partner out with the Sliced Bread. Jimmy Rave took the opening and rocked the World for Alex Shelley. Left as the only man standing, Rave started climbing with the full support of the fans behind him. Consequences Creed tried to pull Rave back down but he was too far ahead. Rave supported himself with his legs to pull the X-Division title down and surprise the world as no-one gave him a chance of winning it.

Result: Jimmy Rave becomes the New TNA X-Division Champion.

Just a matter of weeks after his long time tag team partner lose his job, Jimmy Rave has climbed to the top of the X-Division and claimed his first piece of gold in TNA.
Backstage now where Mick Foley and Jeff Jarrett are seated and are watching the show in anticipation for the main event. Jarrett comments to Foley that next we get to see the implosion of the Main Event Mafia and thus everything can go back to the way it was before the formed.

Sting ©

Referee: Earl Hebner
Time Limit: 60 Minutes

Sting and Kurt Angle let all their hatred for each other show through as each man did everything in his power to just hurt his opponent. Angle tried several times for the Ankle Lock but Sting had a counter for it each and every time. Sting tried for some of his trademark moves but Angle had him scouted. It seemed like they would cancel each other out and it would be decided on a mistake by one of them. Not willing to make that mistake Angle took the initiative and went to town on Sting’s ankle using every hold he could think of. Sting countered back by working over the surgically repaired neck of Angle in preparation of the Scorpion Death Drop. After several exchanges of the upper hand Angle finally managed to synch in the Ankle Lock but Sting once again had a counter as he rolled through and brought Angle over with him. Sting quickly grabbed the legs of Angle and turned him over in the Scorpion Death Lock. Angle struggled and fought with everything he had but in the end had no choice but to tap out and admit defeat.

Result: Sting retains via Pinfall.

Sting let go of the Death Lock before falling onto his back due to exhaustion. Angle has just given Sting the biggest test he is likely to face as TNA World Champion, and Sting survived it, but only barely. Sting needs the help of the ring ropes to pull himself back to his feet so that he can stand with his title raised above his head in victory.
