| It seems like Hardcore wrestling is completely dead. Sure, we see some hardcore elements in WWE and some indies like to go crazy with the extremeness, but all in all it seems to be a dead.

Personally, I think he had a lot to do with it...more than people give him credit for.
Foley and Funk helped bring it to WWE. They were good characters and they were people who you would invest time in to watch them do something differently. I don't think the same thing could've been repeated with anyone else.
I would like to see a hardcore division. Make it less cartoony and give wrestlers more time for their matches with it.
Also, I think more hardcore elements should be brought to regular matches. Let's do a frogsplash into the crowd like he used to, things like that. |
