Mike Tenay and Scott Hudson are commentators for Saturday Night.
- Tenay puts over the new millennium and how WCW will be stronger and better than ever before.
- Hudson chimes in and brings up a four men tournament to crown a new WCW Television champion. The finals will take place on Nitro.
- Tenay tells everyone the men involved which are Konnan, Disco Inferno, Rick Steiner and Fit Finlay.
- Hudson points out that all four men are former TV champions.
- Tenay also mentions that Eddie Guerrero has asked and received time on this edition. What he has to say is unknown.
- Hudson brings up how Bret Hart was injured at WCW Starrcade in his match against Goldberg. Eric Bishcoff will have news regarding a update on Hart and the World Championship.
- Tenay says “lets head to the ring”
Match #1: Chavo Guerrero Jr. defeated Lash LeRoux in 6:11 following a tornado DDT.
- LeRoux with a hip toss and dropkick to send Chavo to the floor. LeRoux attempts a suicide dive but Chavo moves and LeRoux crashes to the floor.
- Back in the ring, Chavo delivers a brain buster. Chavo with a near fall.
- LeRoux fights back and nails Chavo with a delayed vertical suplex.
- LeRoux goes to the top rope but Chavo shoves him off. Chavo grabs LeRoux and plants him with the tornado DDT for the win.
- Replay of the win. (59%)

Gene Okerlund is backstage with Eric Bischoff.
- Gene asks the question everyone wants to know the answer to. How is Bret Hart?
- Bischoff says “If you ask Bret, he will say his career is over.”
- He continues to say that, Bischoff had a conversation with Bret’s doctors and well, Bret’s career is not over.
- Bischoff says that Bret is trying to avoid a possible rematch with Goldberg, and he is going to make sure that the match happens.
- Gene asks if Eric is saying he is faking the injury.
- Bischoff says no. Hart has a mild concussion, but not the major concussion that he was claiming to have.
- Bischoff says that he will make sure that Goldberg gets revenge against both Hart and Piper for what happened at Starrcade
- Bischoff leaves and Gene is happy about the news. (85%)
Match #2: Disco Inferno defeated Konnan in 8.54 to reach the finals of the WCW Television Championship
- Both men do their trademarks taunts, with Konnan attacking Inferno as he was on the middle turnbuckle.
- Konnan with a rolling clothesline as Inferno comes off the ropes.
- Inferno comes back with a swinging neck breaker. Konnan walks right into a boot followed by a Russian leg sweep.
- Inferno taunts and allows Konnan to get up. Inferno is soon taken down with a double leg slam. Konnan with a near fall.
- Konnan works on Inferno in the corner, until Inferno delivers a knee and takes Konnan down with a double axe handle off the middle turnbuckle.
- Inferno grabs Konnan and goes for a suplex but Konnan reverses into a fisherman suplex with a bridge nearly winning, again.
- Konnan goes for 187, but Inferno fights out spins Konnan around and nails the Chart Buster for the win.
- Replay of the win. (63%)

Gene Okerlund is standing with Shane Douglas who has a evil grin on his face.
- Gene asks why is Douglas smiling.
- Douglas lets out a laugh. Douglas brings up how he is facing Diamond Dallas Page tonight.
- Douglas asks sarcastically if Dallas Page is crying about his lady being fired.
- Douglas says “I guess she wasn’t ‘performing’ well. Gene, you know what I mean by that.”
- Douglas proclaims that tonight DDP will find out why he is the FRANCHISE! (74%)
Match #3: Rick Steiner defeated Fit Finlay in 5:04 to earn a spot in the finals for the WCW Television Championship
- Both men trade a series of right hands with Steiner gaining the advantage. Steiner sends Finlay into the ropes and connects with a overhead suplex.
- Steiner walks right into a mean right hook from Finlay that rocks Steiner.
- Finlay brings Steiner out of the corner only to knock him back down with a short arm clothesline.
- Steiner manages to avoid a running splash in the corner and takes Finlay down with a German suplex.
- Steiner climbs to the top rope and connects with a diving bulldog for the win.
- Replay of the win. (50%)

Gene is in the ring and introduces a man with plenty on his mind, Eddie Guerrero.
- Guerrero comes out to a pretty good reception. Gene welcomes Eddie and asks what’s on his mind.
- Guerrero says he is sick and tired of being held down in WCW.
- He doesn’t understand how guys like himself, Benoit, Malenko, Rey Jr., Kidman, and Booker T are always shoved aside as guys like Nash, Hogan, Hall and Savage, who are way past their prime get title shots and title runs.
- Guerrero says along himself and the guys named are the best wrestlers in this sport.
- When the fans leave a WCW event leave saying “Wow, that Guerrero is something else!”
- The younger and faster wrestlers are the present and future of this sport. He will soon prove it to everyone who challenges him.
- Gene puts over Guerrero as being a man on a mission as Guerrero leaves. (77%) Match #4: Buff Bagwell defeated Chris Kanyon in 10:44.
- Kanyon with the advantage early on with a right few hands. Kanyon takes Bagwell down with a clothesline
- Bagwell with a jaw breaker followed by two clotheslines, and the last one sending Kanyon over the top to the floor.
- Kanyon flops around and eventually re enters the ring. Kanyon with a eye rake and sends Bagwell into the ropes connecting with a backdrop.
- Kanyon places Bagwell on the top turnbuckle and attempts a superplex. Bagwell manages to fight off and sends Kanyon off crashing onto the mat.
- Bagwell connects with a elbow drop and gets a near fall.
- Kanyon is backed into a corner and Bagwell delivers repeated shots. Bagwell sends Kanyon across the ring into another corner.
- Bagwell charges right into a big boot. Kanyon with a leg lariat and nearly gets the win.
- Kanyon attempts a reverse neck breaker, but Bagwell reveres and connects with a back suplex.
- Both men are down. Bagwell gets up first and sends Kanyon chest first into the corner.
- Kanyon stumbles out and Bagwell rolls Kanyon up for the win!
-Replay of win.
-Bagwell celebrates his win, but as he turns to leave a man comes through the crowd and viciously attacks Bagwell.
That man, is RAVEN! Raven with the Even Flow DDT on the floor before leaving through the crowd. (63%)

Match #5: Diamond Dallas Page fought Shane Douglas to a double count-out in 8:51
- Douglas mocks Page by using his hands to act as if Page has been crying all day lone. Page nails Douglas with a right hand.
- Page ducks a wild clothesline and delivers a spinning clothesline. Page with a near fall.
- Douglas lures Page into a corner and low blows Page behind the referee’s back. Douglas with a belly to belly suplex.
- Douglas leaps off the middle rope and drives a knee to Page’s forehead. Douglas lets out a laugh.
- Page returns the favor with a low blow by distracting the referee. Page pulls Douglas up and connects with a spinning sit down power bomb.
- Douglas rolls to the floor. After a few moments, Page follows. Page grabs Douglas and is nailed with chair wrapped around Douglas’s fist.
- Douglas sends Page hard into the guard railing and charges towards Page who backdrops Douglas into the crowd!
- Page enters the crowd and brawls with Douglas causing both men to be counted out. (65%)
- Mike Tenay and Scott Hudson sign off.
