| Does anyone enjoy strategy games?
I guess this topic is spewed from the EWR one, but I enjoy strategy games but there is a certain limit with which I can tolerate.
For example, I loved Sim City for computer (and it was excellent on SNES) but I cannot stand Sim City 2000 or 3000. Not only does the perspective of the game bother me (I prefered the top down view) but the detail of the game was bothersome too. There was just too much to do, and it seemed like the game never really began.
I like strategy games which push you along as you play, games that you can get started right away, yet still have many different layers after the initial few times that you play it.
Thats what I liked about Sim City, the original. You could just start it up and start building roads and stadiums and residentials and have things start happening.
How you learned to play the game was more based on experience, rather then a bunch of knowledge. |
