| I'd say around 1987 I started watching. My older brother was a big fan of WCW and a HUGE Ric Flair fan (WOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!) and my buddy was big into it. He'd have PPV parties and we'd all go over to his place, drink soda, eat chips and cheer on our favs. THAT was back in the day when wrestling was so pure - we had no idea it was scripted, no idea that guys were jobbing or going over, etc., etc. I'll never forget when Taker tombstoned Hogan onto the steel chair and pinned him. What an amazing moment, especially b/c everyone in the room just expected Hulk to get up, Hulk up, drop the leg and win. |
