| My picks fo' the week: Atlanta vs. Detroit
Atlanta keeps rolling along. Falcons win. Cincinnati vs. Baltimore
The Bengals offense is inconsistent and the Ravens looked much improved last week. Ravens win. Dallas vs. Washington
Brunell is hurting and Moss is hurting. That's most of the Redskins offense right there. Dallas' D shuts down the Redskins and Romo keeps T.O. happy by throwing him the ball. Cowboys win. Green Bay vs. Buffalo
Packers get back to .500 and Favre shows what people should already be aware of. He can still play but he doesn't have a very good supporting cast. Without Favre the Packers would have 1 win right now. Packers win. Houston vs. N.Y. Giants
Giants defense makes Carr look mediocre. Giants win. Kansas City vs. St. Louis
This will be a good game. If it was in KC I would pick the Chiefs but I think Bulger continues to be consistent and make plays and not make mistakes. Rams win a close one. Miami vs. Chicago
Do I really need to say who will win, Chicago bears. New Orleans vs. Tampa Bay
Reggie Bush is hurting which takes away his ability to be a decoy for the offense. Tampa Bay is playing improved ball despite losing to the Giants last week. But I think the Saints will bounce back from being thrashed by the Ravens last week. Saints win. Tennessee vs. Jacksonville
Jacksonville's D shut down Vince Young and their running game carries the Jags to another victory. Jaguars win. Minnesota vs. San Francisco
Minnesota bounces back and has a good game against a nonexistent 49ers defense. Vikings win. Cleveland vs. San Diego
Cleveland will keep it close early but the Chargers pull away at the end. Chargers win. Denver vs. Pittsburgh
At the beginning of the season this looked like a marquee matchup. Now it's just "meh" since the Steelers are not very good. Broncos win. Oakland vs. Seattle
Seattle bounces back and stops the Raiders' winning streak. Seahawks win. Indianapolis vs. New England
The biggest game to date this season (bigger than Colts/Broncos last week). Basically it boils down to this: If the Patriots can run the ball with Dillon and Maroney and keep Manning off the field then the Patriots will win because they can control the clock and their defense is playing well. But if they can't run the ball and Manning gets a lot of opportunities he will start connecting on them and the Colts will win. But based on how potent the Patriots running attack has been I like Dillon to wear the Colts down and Maroney to bust out the big runs. Patriots win a close one. |
