But I also have a hard time understanding how a law like this would even be enforceable. For instance, wouldn't people just put their phones on speakerphone? No cop would be able to tell if they were on the phone or not. There wouldn't even be the headset or anything. This is how I normally talk on my phone in the car anyway.

But really tho, this is the definition of having a one-track mind: not being able to even talk on a hands-free headset and drive at the same time. I don't see how that's any different from talking to a passenger, but if the studies shown in this article are actually scientific and accurate, then headsets somehow do affect the way people drive.

People are just weird.
