Not because of any moral reason, but merely from a financial stand point. It costs much more to put put someone to death. You have so many legal fees it is ridiculous.
I say get rid of it and save money. It is cheaper for someone to serve life in prison than to kill them. | ^Actually, imo cutting costs and saving money is what is wrong with a lot of places now. The price of putting someone to death may cost more but, what good is saving money if it is just going to be wasted on useless things that only appease those in office. And yes... I am speaking from too many damn personal experiences.
Back on topic: I am actually all for the death penalty. If someone takes the life of another person then they should have to pay for that crime with their own lives.
