With my close guy friends, it's usually a "'sup" followed by some knucks or that half-ass guy hug if it's been a long time. With girls (outside of my wife, that is), it's usually just a "hello" or the like. Acquaintances get the head nod, usually followed by, "Hey, man..." because I suck at remembering names.
