| Re: The Brock Lesnar Era is Upon Us Quote: | I don't see how I've been hating since I've been praising him since the Herring fight. Hes just a douche bag as a PERSON and that has no real impact on how I view him as a fighter. Maybe you should check your facts. I believe my exact view on the Couture fight before hand was "Lesnar may be a bitch, but hes the strongest bitch ever".
The fact that hes being praised as a "Era" 3 or 4 fights in to his career is a joke, even if hes beaten Randy and Herring. Hes got a long way to go before hes up there with a Hughes, Liddell, Ortiz,Silva or even Fedor. People who dominate over periods of time against all comers. Hes been 3 people and has clear holes in his sub defense.
Lets have him defend the title once before passing judgement on this "Era" | No doubt that calling it the Brock Lesnar "era" may be a little too premature. After all, this is MMA and not wrestling where when a guy wins the World Title, he is deemed the man and can claim to an era. However, Brock Lesnar may be inexperienced in MMA, only 4 fights after all, but he has shown vast improvement in his game. Take in his shear size and add in improving abilities and I think you are going to see a dominant fighter that has every right to stake claim to his own era or dynasty. My only fear is that he may get so good that he is literally unbeatable and nobody wants to watch him fight anymore because he had no competition. For Brock, though, that would be a good problem to have.
