There are so many minorities and so many younger people who are...lets call it less-bigoted than the generations in front of them, who will be first time voters, that I think it will cancel out any potential "Bradley Effect". What not a lot of people are talking about is the "Reverse Bradley Effect" which suggests that people don't want to admit that they would consider voting for a black person, but that they will end up doing so in their own financial interest.
I think both of these potential "effects" really won't have much impact on a presidential election, and that they're just two more examples of non-stories that the media likes to prop up when there's really not much else to talk about. |
I am concerned because in the past young voters registered, but didn't really show up on election day. The elderly have a very high voter turnout percentage and the elderly are more likely to be racist.
I just hope those young voters finally put the damn video game controller down and realize that voting does matter. It is looking promising that this will finally happen. All it took was an unjust war, a ruined economy, the devaluation of the dollar, & a huge rise in gas prices for it to happen.
