Like I said before, this is still up for debate in the scientific world. Right now it's a political position and basically whichever side of the debate can pay their scientists to talk louder has the upper hand on it.

The answer to the problem isn't reducing energy or using fluorescent bulbs or caulking your windows. It's about making the electric infrastructure run off something renewable, not coal and not oil. The grid I'm connected to is run off of hydroelectric power. That's a good example.

I think we've only scratched the surface on solar/wind/hydro energy. The problem is that there's no money to be made in renewable resources by definition. Scarcity = profits and there's no scarcity of wind, sun, or water.
