| Re: Women in Pro Wrestling I know this topic have not been getting any replys recently, but as a female wrestling fan I have to add my input.
I think the problem with WWE is they really don't have any respect for women at all. The way women are portrayed on WWE and TNA are totally different and discouraging for the hardworking female wrestlers that bust that butts to learn their craft, only to see an escort, a playboy playmate, and/or a stripper take their spots.
I mean come on. The length that these women have to go to keep their jobs is sickening. We talk about Trish Stratus, but believe it or not that lady their bust her ass to get to this point of her career, and deserves mad respect from everyone. In a recent interview on a TV show, I don't remember which one, but she stated how she didn't like the way she was being portrayed, so she trained hard and the rest is history.
WWE has the money and potential to make women wrestling just as respectful as the men, but they choose not to. TNA would probably have done the same, but thank God for Dixie Carter, a powerful female in the wrestling business. If a small TNA can make their Knockout division good, imagine what the WWE could do, but choose not to.
