Rep Power: 4 | Sven set for City exit - reports Quote:
Skysports:Manchester City manager Sven Goran Eriksson will leave Eastlands next week, according to reports.
Eriksson's future has been the subject of widespread speculation following City's disappointing performance in the second half of last season.
City finished ninth in the Premier League and this is understood to have angered club owner Thaksin Shinawatra, who wanted to secure automatic qualification for Europe.
The Fair Play League has allowed City a route into the Uefa Cup but, after heavy investment last year, Thaksin is still expected to show former England boss Eriksson the door after only 11 months in charge.
Pairoj Piempongsant, a senior aide to Thaksin, recently announced that City would inform Eriksson of his fate before a 15th June deadline.
However, it is now reported that Eriksson, who has been strongly linked with Mexico's vacant hot-seat, will leave City within the next seven days and that the Swede will be handed an approximate £1million pay-off.
First-team coach Derek Fazackerley and fitness coach Stefano Marrone are also facing uncertain times as their positions at City are reviewed by Thaksin.
