Yesterday, Ring of Honor "announced" that Lacey would miss this weekend's events. That announcement turned out to be the foreshadowing of an angle where Lacey, who had been recruiting Austin Aries to join boyfriend Jimmy Jacobs' Age of the Fall faction only to fall for Aries and leave Jacobs, was apparently assaulted by Jacobs in a parking lot. The Age of the Fall website, which is "independent" of ROH, posted the following video above, so the idea was to put a ton of heat on the Jacobs-Aries issue as Jacobs is seen pulling a weapon out of his trademark cane (the same weapon he used to injure ROH Tag Team champ Mark Briscoe and put him "out" for several months) after confronting his ex-girlfriend. Jay Briscoe & Aries face the Age of the Fall at the Hammerstein Ballroom this Saturday in New York City.
Expect ROH's Hammerstein debut to feature an upgraded production setup.
The next ROH PPV will likely air in August.

Ring of Honor debuts this Friday in Manassas, Virginia. The final lineup for Friday's event is FIP champion Roderick Strong, & Rocky Romero & Davey Richards vs. The Pro Wrestling NOAH continent of GHC Heavyweight Champion Takeshi Morishima & Naomichi Marufuji & Go Shiozaki, Bryan Danielson vs. Tyler Black, ROH champion Nigel McGuinness vs. Claudio Castagnoli vs. Brent Albright vs. Damien Wayne (non-title), Austin Aries vs. Erick Stevens, Jay Briscoe vs. Jimmy Jacobs, a No DQ bout featuring Jack Evans vs. Necro Butcher, and Rhett Titus & Rex Sterling vs. Mitch Franklin & Sean Denny.
Jonny Fairplay is apparently trying to get other Survivor cast members to appear or visit this weekend's NYC event as they are all in NY for a Survivor-related event this week.
ROH champ Nigel McGuinness, Bryan Danielson, BJ Whitmer (on an indefinite leave from the company) and Raptor (a masked Matt Cross, debuting the character) are all booked for the Pro Wrestling NOAH tour that kicks off 5/15.
Following this weekend's events, ROH is off until 6/6 in Hartford, CT and 6/7 in Philadelphia, PA. CT has been a hard market for the company and this show was postponed several months, so I am very curious to see how it draws.
