360 Wireless Setup FAQ.

So for those wanting to know how to set up your 360 for wireless gameplay here is an FAQ of what needs to be done.

Things you need before you start:

360
Wireless 360 adaptor
Router
Network Name
Network Password

1: Set up your router and get your wireless network name which is normally the name of the router unless you've changed it.
During your router setup it may ask you to set a password for your network and if it does you need to write this down as you will need it.

2: On your 360 dashboard, go to the System blade and then network settings.

3: Under the wireless mode section of the network setup, click into this and it should bring up the networks in your area and hopefully your own one.

4: Click on your network and it will then ask for your WPA or WEP password. Fill your password in and then press ok.

5: Make sure your IP and DNS settings are set to automatic in your network settings on your 360.

6: Your 360 should now attempt to connect to the wireless network and also your internet connection.

After its done this test you should be all clear to go and be enjoying xbox live.

Where to find your WPA or WEP password in your router configurations:

On most routers it should be under the wireless setup settings.

To get onto your router settings, get the ip address of your router, type it into your search bar on your internet browser, your router then may ask for a password which should be provided in your routers box.

Once logged into your router, find the security settings or wireless settings and your WPA or WEP password should be stored there.
