Manitowoc Herald Times Reporter - TR man identified in fatal crash

TWO RIVERS — A 20-year-old Two Rivers man who died Sunday at Aurora Medical Center from a car-motorcycle crash at 12:30 p.m. Sunday in the 3600 block of 45th Street, has been identified.

Christopher Sauer was driving west on 45th Street, attempted a left turn into a driveway and collided in front of an eastbound vehicle occupied by a 43-year-old Manitowoc man and a passenger, according to the Two Rivers Police Department.

Sauer was treated at the scene and then transported to the medical center. He was pronounced dead due to head and chest injuries at the hospital, according to the Manitowoc County Coroner's Office.

The names of the Manitowoc man and his passenger have not yet been released.
Sauer was wearing a helmet, authorities said.

Two Rivers Police and Fire personnel, as well as an accident reconstruction team from the Wisconsin State Patrol, responded to the scene. The crash is still under investigation.
