| Re: Shuffle Up and Deal Me and my friends used to play Texas Hold'Em very regularly, but we fell off.
I used to try to get people to play 7-card stud, but nobody ever wanted to
When drinking, we occasionally play Asshole or King Cup.
We also played this game a couple of times which is a variation of a game called "Chinese Poker".
It's played with 4 people, and before the cards are dealt, everybody puts a set amount of money into the pot (say, 5 dollars each, for a total pot of $20). All the cards get dealt, so everybody has 13 cards each. With those 13 cards, you have to make two five-card hands and a 3-card hand.
One of your 5-card hands has to be identified as your "primary" hand. It doesnt actually have to be your best hand, but this hand plays for half the pot. Your "secondary" five-card hand plays for 25% of the pot, and the 3-card hand plays for the remaining 25%. |
