Re: Is The WWE Really THAT Bad...?

I was considering doing a diary beside this one which is taking the WWE's current feuds and the basis of their results and doing what I think should have happened that week to compare.

Anyways...

Segment 1

What actually happened: Jericho presents his Highlight Reel, his guest tonight being Batista. Basically Jericho ends up insulting Batista over the Flair retirement and Batista nails Jericho with the Batista Bomb.

What PeaceSells put:

• Angle
• Host Angle
• Host taunts worker and gets attacked
• Host: Jericho, Guest: Batista

Why PeaceSells did it: Is what happened.

Overall Rating: 81%

Segment 2

What actually happened: Hardy commentated on the MVP vs Dreamer match, which MVP won with a running big boot.

What PeaceSells put:

• Match
• 1 vs. 1
• Singles
• MVP vs Tommy Dreamer
• No title
• MVP wins
• Clean win
• MVP celebrates
• Put MVP over

Why PeaceSells did it: No way to involve Hardy in the match on commentary, so only other way would have been to have him botch interference which I didn’t think made any sense.

Overall Rating: 66%
Crowd Reaction: 71%
Match Quality: 77%

Segment 3

What actually happened: Finlay readied Hornswoggle for his match which is up next.

What PeaceSells put:

• Angle
• Manager angle
• Manager tries to motivate his client
• Manager: Finlay, Client: Hornswoggle

Why PeaceSells did it: It’s what happened.

Overall Rating: 68%

Notes:

• Hornswoggle gained overness from this segment.

Segment 4

What actually happened: Hornswoggle defeated Striker thanks to interference from Finlay, same old rubbish.

What PeaceSells put:

• Match
• 1 vs. 1
• Singles
• Hornswoggle vs Matt Striker
• No title
• Hornswoggle wins
• Via interference from Finlay
• Hornswoggle celebrates
• Put Hornswoggle over

Why PeaceSells did it: It’s what happened.

Overall Rating: 39%
Crowd Reaction: 55%
Match Quality: 34%

Segment 5

What actually happened: Video of Show and Khali last week, Show goes on to say how he isn’t interested in making peace with Khali. Basically a video bigging up Show.

What PeaceSells put:

• Angle
• Video angle
• Hype video for singles feud
• Participants: Big Show and Great Khali

Why PeaceSells did it: It’s what happened.

Overall Rating: 60%

Segment 6

What actually happened: Chavo Guerrero defeats Noble cleanly, after the match Bam Neely, Guerrero’s assistant hits Noble with a full nelson slam, which is bigged up as some sort of devastating manoeuvre all of a sudden.

What PeaceSells put:

• Match
• 1 vs. 1
• Singles
• Chavo Guerrero vs Jamie Noble
• No title
• Chavo wins
• Clean pin
• Bam Neely attacks Noble
• Put Chavo over.

Why PeaceSells did it: It’s what happened.

Overall Rating: 61%
Crowd Reaction: 47%
Match Quality: 89%

Segment 7

What actually happened: Big Show defeats Mark Henry by DQ when Kahli interrupts and beats down Show.

What PeaceSells put:

• Match
• 1 vs. 1
• Singles
• Big Show vs Mark Henry
• No title
• Big Show wins
• By DQ through interference from Khali
• Khali continues assault
• Put Khali over

Why PeaceSells did it: It’s what happened.

Overall Rating: 65%
Crowd Reaction: 74%
Match Quality: 72%

Segment 8

What actually happened: Cherry defeated Victoria when McCool distracted Victoria. Neidhart was involved in the match somehow, but then again, not really.

What PeaceSells put:

• Match
• 1 vs. 1
• Singles
• Victoria vs Cherry
• No title
• Cherry wins
• Via interference from Michelle McCool
• Run in for save from Natalya Neidhart
• Put Cherry over

Why PeaceSells did it: Is what happened, besides the aftermath but that was the only way to involve Neidhart.

Overall Rating: 45%
Crowd Reaction: 57%
Match Quality: 38%

Notes:

• Cherry gained overness from this match.

Segment 9

What actually happened: Vladimir Kozlov defeated some jobber in a squash match.

What PeaceSells put:

• Match
• 1 vs. 1
• Singles
• Vladimir Kozlov vs Some jobber I picked up from the indy scene for this match-up.
• No title
• Kozlov wins
• Clean pin
• No aftermath
• Put Kozlov over

Why PeaceSells did it: It’s what happened, besides not being who he actually faced, but I picked someone with pretty average skills.

Overall Rating: 36%
Crowd Reaction: 21%
Match Quality: 59%

Notes:

• The jobber lost overness?
• Vladimir gainecd overness from this match.

Segment 10 and 11

What actually happened: Batista and Taker draw as both men are counted out. After the match there’s basically a brawlfest as Taker attacks Edge, Batista and Taker team to take out Hawkins and Ryder, then taker and Batista brawl again. Bam and Chavo then get taken out by both men whilst Edge leaves the ring. Vickie then comes out and announces due to these actions both these men will be punished next week as they will face off for the World Heavyweight Title in a rematch. How that punishes Batista is beyond me, but anyways.

What PeaceSells put:

• Match
• 1 vs. 1
• Singles
• Undertaker vs Batista
• No title
• Draw
• Double count-out
• Run in from Edge on both competitors
• Build up to future match

Overall Rating: 76%
Crowd Reaction: 89%
Match Quality: 76%

And…

What PeaceSells put:

• Angle
• 2 vs. 2
• Tag attack failed
• Attackers: Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder, Targets: Undertaker and Batista

Overall Rating: 66%

Notes:

• Hawkins and Ryder both gained overness.
• Taker and Batista both lost overness.

Why PeaceSells did it: I could only involve one run-in after the match and as Edge is the most important and over man I went with him. As I’d a spare segment I threw that tag attack in to involve the Edgeheads as well.

Overall Rating: 60%

So...SmackDown! officially sucks tbh.
