ROH live from Edison, Night 1
The show comes on with Davey Richards of the No Remorse Corp in the ring, the one half of the tag team champions awaits his opponent. Kevin Steen’s music hits as he runs down the ramp and slides into the ring. Both men without there partners as the ref calls for the bell.
Both go face to face as the crowd build the atmosphere chanting for both men. Richards and Steen both start to trade elbow blows to the face, back and forth hitting three each. Richards runs off the ropes for more force only to be hit with a clothesline by Steen. Steen runs off the ropes and hits a elbow smash into Richards driving him between the ropes to the floor. The crowd go wild.
Richards begins to complain on the outside kicking the rail and steps. Steen asks to the fans if his should follow and his does. He runs out and follows Richards both men start to trade elbow strikes again, this time up close for the fans to not only here the sound of elbow on jaw but to feel the sweat fly off the face of the person receiving the elbow strike. While this is happening the ref begins a count out now at 5, both men fall to the mat. The crowd still going crazy. Richards gets into the ring first and waits for Steen to get up on the apron before he runs and trying to hit another elbow strike, Steen sees him coming and moves out of the way, Richards half over the top rope gets a kick in the face making him fall back and into the middle of the ring. Steen climbs in and runs only to be hit with a massive German suplex when he gets to the back of Steen.
Both men are down as Richards covers only to get a 2 count. Richards lifts him up and goes for the D.R Driver the double under hook piledriver a similar move to Steen’s package piledriver a move he uses as his finisher. Steen charges him into the corner but Richards holds the double under hook in. Steen lifts him over with a northern lights suplex while the under hook is still locked in. Richards bridges as well as Steen and both men stay there in the bridge. The bridge is still locked in as both men refuse to let go first. The blood rushing to there heads but still no move. Then Davey Richards partner and the other half of the tag champs Rocky Romero comes running down. He jumps up on the apron and the ref walks over to him trying to get him down.
Just then the leader of The No Remorse Corp Roderick Strong runs in from the crowd and kicks Steen hard in the chest forcing him to break the bridge, Steen’s partner ElGenerico runs down and pulls Romero off the apron and the begin to brawl. Strong slides out of the ring and him and Romero begin to beat on Generico not to the liking of the fans. In the ring when the bridge is broken Richards rolls over and into the Kimura on Steen. Steen screams in pain as Generico gets hit in the face with the Tag Team Championship. Just then Bryan Danielson runs down the ramp he smashes Romero in the face knocking him down and out. Bryan and Strong begin to brawl, Strong swings and misses and Danielson hits a release cravate suplex. Richards sees this and lets go of the hold. He walks over to the ropes as Danielson screams at him, Just then Nigel McGuinness the ROH World Champion runs down, Richards tells Bryan to turn around and when he does he gets smashed with a brutal lariat, Nigel screams in joy as he holds the belt up. Back in the ring Richards turns around and right into a kick to the gut, and the package piledriver by Steen. He covers 1,2,3 he wins..
Steen celebrates in pain as McGuinness comes in and smashes him with the ROH belt. Nigel gets on the mic and talks about how he just showed why he’s the top dog in ROH and that he can beat everyone.
Just then music goes off and to the surprise of Nigel, all the other wrestlers in the ring and at ringside and the crowd Paul Heyman comes out of the curtain. Paul talks about his the person that will be calling the shots from now on and that he is the top dog of ROH. He makes the main event for Edison night 2. He says it will The No Remorse Corp of Roderick Strong, Rocky Romero and Davey Richards teaming with ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness to take on the team of Kevin Steen, El Generico, Bryan Danielson and whoever the can find as a partner. He said if Bryan Danielson’s team wins he will get a World Title Shot at the next ppv and Steen and Generico will get tag title shots. Nigel is shocked as the crowd chant Paul E’ !! Heyman also says that tonights main event will have Nigel vs. a wrestler Heyman has brought to ROH.
Kevin Steen wins via pin fall with the package driver.
The next match up is a four way fray match pitting some new ROH talent. With the winner getting a ROH contract.
In the ring Bobby Cruise explains the rules and the special stipulation.
First to come out is the returning Trent Acid, he comes out to boo’s as he smiles and enters the ring. The second wrestler out is Doug Basham who also receives boo’s but not as much as Trent Acid. The third is IWA-MS’s Josh Abercrombie who gets the best reaction so far.
The crowd await the final participant when Low-Ki’s music goes off as the place erupts in cheers, as the first ever ROH World Champion makes his way down the ramp and into the ring.
The elimination match begins as Low Ki and Basham begin to trade blows only for Low Ki to hit a vicious kick to Basham’s legs causing him to fall to the mat. Acid and Josh both tie up with Acid going to the back of Josh and then grabbing a headlock, Abercrombie counters out of it with a back suplex only for Acid to land on his feet, he whips Josh into the corner and runs over hitting a Yakuza kick to the face of Abercrombie taking him down.
Low Ki and Acid begin to smash each other with kicks with Ki getting the obvious advantage as he hits a double chop to Acid’s chest. Ki whips him into the corner and runs for the Tidal Krush only for Basham to intercept and hit his finisher the Leg Lariat, Basham covers 1,2 Ki kicks out. Abercrombie pulls Basham up and puts him right back down with a tornado DDT. Josh covers 1,2, kick out. Acid lifts Abercrombie up only for Josh to turn to Acids back and hit the Taliban Backpack the double knee’s to the back backbreaker. He covers 1,2,3 Trent Acid is first eliminated and not receiving a ROH contract, Acid rolls put of the ring in pain. Abercrombie turns around into a running double leg dropkick from Low Ki driving him through the top and middle ropes and to the outside. The crowd pop.
Basham grabs Low Ki in a headlock and Ki whips him into the ropes , As his running at the ropes he dives right through taking Abercrombie out. The crowd pop again. Low Ki is in the ring as the crowd begin to clap he runs and when both men get to there feet he dives over the top rope smashing into Basham as Abercrombie moves out of the way. Abercrombie points at his head showing his smartness when Trent Acid who is about to walk up the ramp turns him around and into The Acid Burn the sit out powerbomb on the ramp he gets up and leaves to the back as Abercrombie screams in pain holding he’s back.
Back in the ring Basham lifts Ki up for a suplex but Ki manages to kick him from this position and drops to his feet, Ki hits another kick this time to Basham’s head knocking him into the corner this time he runs and hits the Tidal Krush, Basham falls forward and onto the mat , Ki climbs up and jumps off hitting the Ghetto Stomp on Basham with a massive smash. He covers 1,2,3 Doug Basham is eliminated.
The final two battled it out for another 10 minutes hitting brutal moves that includes spots of a superplex and a hurricananna off the top to the outside by Josh Abercrombie. The finish came when Low Ki set up Abercrombie with the Ki Krusher but was distracted when Julius smokes and the Vulture Squad came to ringside. Low Ki looked confused as well as the ref and when the ref wasn’t looking Josh Abercrombie gave Ki a low blow by kicking him down below and then hitting the Abercrombie N’ Flinch the rolling cutter. He got the cover and the 1,2,3 as Josh Abercrombie celebrates his win and his prize of a ROH contract. Abercrombie leaves and makes his way past The Vulture Squad as the congratulate him before the enter the ring.
Julius Smokes tells Jigsaw and Ruckus to lift Ki up and when the do he slaps Ki in the face, Smokes the former manager of Ki then makes Jigsaw and Ruckus hit a double spinebuster on him while Evans climbs to the top and dives off with a vicious 630 on Ki leaving him out cold as the Vulture Squad celebrate over him.
We go to the back where Paul Heyman is talking to Bryan Danielson when The Age Of The Fall walk. The talk about how the where great fans if the old ECW days when it was all about the grunge and its rebel like structure towards the WWE and WCW. The say that the plan on making Paul E’ proud and the start tonight when the beat there opponents.
The next match up is a one on one match pitting Austin Aries vs. Adam Pearce w/ Larry Sweeny and Bobby Dempsey.
The match showed a lot of tech wrestling with Aries showing hes experience when he won the match after countering Adam Pearce’s attempt of a powerbomb by hitting a hurricanranna before lifting him up in the air with a sick brainbuster. Aries climbed top rope and Sweeny and Dempsey tried to pull him down but to no prevail as he hit the 450 splash and the victory.

When the match was over The Age Of The Fall came down and like the weeks before tried to make him join, Lacey tried to persuade Aries to join by taking him to the back for some special persuasion, not to the liking of her boyfriend and leader of The AOTF Jimmy Jacobs. The then talk about how tonight the get closier to taking over ROH like the have planned all along. The team of Matt Cross and Eric Stevens come out next as the Resilience is formed for one night only.
Tag Team Match pitting The Age Of The Fall Jimmy Jacobs and Tyler Black W/ The Necro Butcher vs. Matt Cross and Erick Stevens.
A match that had a lot of spots including a lot of high flying dives to the outside by all four men ended when The Necro Butcher smashed Matt Cross into the back of the head with a shoe that he stole of Bobby Cruise the ring announcer, this allowed Tyler Black to take advantage and hit the Small Package Piledriver for the victory,

After the match the continue the beat down on Matt Cross before Erick Stevens chases them off with a steel chair. The crowd cheer as he helps hes former partner back to hes feet. The crowd chant Resilience ! but then suddenly Stevens pulls Matt Cross into a massive chair shot taking him out. The crowd are shocked as Stevens grabs a mic he talks about how sick he is of everyone saying hes a nice guy when in fact hes not and he likes it that way, he talks about tonight was the birth of a new Erick Stevens an ‘’Explosive Erick Stevens’’ !! He drops the mic as we go to the back
Becky is there with Nigel McGunniess as he talks abut how Paul Heyman is in the dorr 5 seconds and already is against him he says he knows Danielson and Heyman where talking earlier and he syas that whoever Heyman puts against him tonight it will be the same result when Danielson come sup against him and that’s a Lariat coming there way and a knock out followed shortly.
We go back to the ring as Larry Sweeney and The Sweet n’ Sour Inc. are in the ring. He talks about how he seen Josh Abercrombie win hes contract awhile ago and that hes giving Josh the chance of hes life to join up with Larry Sweeny and The Sweet n’ Sour Inc. Josh comes to the ring as Sweeny explains all the factors that come with joining him but Josh asks for time to think about it then Swenney says if you need time your not good enough. Just then Chris Hero attacks him from behind as the Sweet n’ Sour all start to attack him. Claudio Castagnoli’s music goesoff and he runs down for the save.
Paul Heyman comes out and makes a match putting Josh Abercrombie with Claudio Castagnoli vs. Chris Hero and Brent Albright.
The match was solid with Chris Hero trying to stay away from ehs former friend and now enemy Claudio by tagging out whenever Claudio got involved. The Heel tag team used the quick tags and kept Abercrombie in the corner as the hurt him a lot. Just when it seemed Josh and Castagnoli where about to get the upper hand The Sweet n’ Sour inc got involved and the where sent to the back. Now with things all square Castagnoli finally got his hands on Hero only for the returning Dan Puder to run down and knock out Castagnoli with a double knee he then locked in the armbar as Josh Abercrombie looked on. The ref called for a DQ as Abercrombie got taken out by Albright with the crowbar submission.
The refs came down and stopped them as Puder, Hero and Albright stood over there fallen victims.
The next match up is the main event pitting ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness up against Paul Heymans choice of opponent.
Nigel waited in the ring as Heyman came to ringside he named Nigel’s opponent as the debuting Yoshihiro Tajiri !!
Tajiri ran down and the brutal match begin. Vicious and very stiff the match lasted nearly a half hour when the finish came with Nigel setting up a lariat only for Tajiri to spray green msit into ehs eyes, this caused McGuinness to fall back but only to spring off the ropes and hit the rebound Lariat on Tajiri and the cover,
The winner of the match The ROH Champion Nigel McGunniess. He stands over Tajiri with he’s face covered in green as eh holds his belt up as Heyman looks on.
