Re: Tell us how you really feel, Sal

I followed the San Francisco situation very closely, obviously.. and Owens did not destroy that team. Yes, him and Garcia didn't get along but they could have worked it out if the coaching staff wasn't a bunch of fucking retards at the time. they didn't know how to utilize Owens.. The defense was completely non-existent as well. It was a miracle they won 12 games one year..

And what's this about Owens disappearing in the playoffs? I don't have to remind you Tom, how well he performed against the Giants in their playoff game.. He took it over, and it lead to the biggest comeback in history, well..one of the biggest.

In 1998, it was Owens who made the game winning catch against the Packers.. a remarkable reception at that..

And when the Eagles "made the Super Bowl without him" but they win it? No.. But you know who did show up and play his heart out in that game? Owens. He was the only chance the Eagles even had at beating the Pats. Meanwhile, McNabb choked.. hard. Owens also came back that season from what was supposed to be a year ending injury to most people..

Sure, I come on here and defend Owens all the time, but there's a reason for it. It you look past the way he bad mouthed some of his teammates and the celebrations which everyone does.. nobody plays harder, works harder in the offseason, and is a bigger threat at Wide Receiver year after year than Owens is. He's never been in trouble with the law, and he never will be. He's a good guy...

Last but not least, Owens gets along just fine with Tony Romo, they have a great relationship and TO sticks up for him all the time. If it weren't for Owens, the Cowboys' offense wouldn't be half as good as it is.

That's all. And by the way, Sal never knows what the fuck he's talking about anyway..
