On his own, when healthy, he's capable of taking over any game -- but with Malkin centering the second line, and considering Malkin was the best centreman in the league this season, it's a bit harder for Sid to stand out like that.
Which of course I don't think he'd complain about.
The young talent in today's NHL is seriously incredible to watch -- Ovechkin is obviously the story of the year, but the number of guys in their early 20s (and younger) who are
leading their teams is something I haven't seen in hockey since I began watching in the early 1990s.
