Here is the situation.

Bob is on 2nd base, Louie is on 3rd.

Ralph is at the plate and hits a double scoring two.

What just happened is Ralph got a double which is taking 2nd and the men at 3rd and 2nd both crossed the plate before the outfield on the opposing team could get the ball to homeplate.

Thus Ralph got two Runs Batted In.

Generally speaking a player is considered very good if he can average 100 RBI's a year. If you can get about 140 you reach Manny Ramirez/Albert Pujols status. (rare)
