| By putting the belt on him, they've put themselves in this crappy situation. There's no way out of it other than to take it off him, it should never have been on him in the first place. What could they do? Have him start beating the top level guys regularly? Have him beat Khali, Mark Henry and the others that are about three times his size?
Mysterio is one of the very very few guys in the world of wrestling where he had been built well enough over the years that you could truly suspend your belief and feel that he could be competitive with any guy on the roster at all. Not that he could beat them though. So they've dug the whole and they need to get out of it quickly.
