| Oh crap I don't know. I've got no idea of the years so I'll just pick 10 random Raw matches that stuck with me -
Shelton Benjamin -vs- Shawn Michaels. The one with the sweet chin music as Shelton came off the ropes, great match and a jaw dropping never seen that before finish.
TLC 4 or 5 or whatever the hell it was. The one that had Kane in it
The 10 man tag match when the invaders from WCW and DX (HHH, Benoit, Malenko, Saturn, X-Pac? I could be wrong on the exact names) were due to meet Mick Foley for a 5 on 1 beat down. And The Rock did an awesome promo with Mick backstage telling him this match wasn't going down like this because as of now it was 5 on......................big pause look at the camera...................2. Then Rikisihi and Too Cool joined them as well and it was a frikkin incredible heated match, especially for free TV.
DX -vs- Corporate Ministry battle royal to decide the last spot in the '98/99 (?) Rumble. Good storyline with Vince seeming to get the win until Chyna came out, then SCSA got involved and Chyna got the win.
Eddie -vs- The Rock. I think this was the only time they met, just an excellent little TV match and a good chemistry between both men with heel Eddie upset that his daughters had pics of The Rock on the wall. He played the part very well.
Mankind -vs- The Rock. Mankind's first title win with DX in his corner and Corporate Ministry in The Rock's. I could not believe at all that they had put the belt on the great Mick Foley.
HHH -vs- Ric Flair. The one on the Flair DVD collection, afterwards the whole roster paid honour to the guy (on the DVD not on TV). This should have been the last match of his career.
Owen Hart -vs- HBK. Owen's first big match back following his brother's departure. It had a corny cheap finish with HHH butting in to get the dq for Shawn but it was a brilliant match as you'd expect from two stellar performers.
Stone Cold & HBK -vs- British Bulldog & Owen Hart. Led to a title change and was HBK's first big match back following a spell out. Austin and HBK played their roles of feuding team mates excellent and the two other guys were just stand out performers who could more than just hang with the big names.
Undertaker -vs- Jeff Hardy. The ladder match. Very very good. Shame nothing really came of it to make something of Jeff or that he just f***ed up his role there. |
