WCW Nitro Week III July 18th, 2005 Knoxville, Tennessee"World's Collide" plays as the Nitro opening video starts up, showing all of the top WCW superstars. The video ends and pyro shoots off, as we see a live shot of the crowd who are going nuts. We then go ringside with "The Professor" Mike Tenay and Tony Schiavone.
Tony Schiavone- Fans, welcome to WCW Nitro. We are live in front of the soldout crowd at the Thompson Boling Arena in Knoxville, Tennessee! I am Tony Schiavone alongside "The Professor" Iron Mike Tenay. Mike Tenay- Welcome to Nitro. After the end of last week's show, I would say we will have one carnage filled night, if you know what I mean! Immediately, "I'm Back" hits and Eric Bischoff walks out on stage. He smirks at the cheering crowd and is in a black suit. and is clean shaven. He walks down the ramp with a little pep in his step, before climbing in and grabbing a mic. Eric Bischoff- Welcome to Monday Night Nitro! Now, before I announce some of the matches planned for tonight, I would like to send out a little messege to a certain individual. You all might know him, his name is, Vince Mcmahon! Now first, let me point out that upon my buying of WCW, there was no bad blood between myself and Vince. The deal went down in friendly fashion and that was that. Well, over the weekend, WWE had a house show in Knoxville. Seeing that WCW superstars were already in Knoxville, myself and a few former WWE superstars, wanted to stop by the show, just to say our goodbyes to some of the friends that we had made in WWE. That was it! But apparently, Vince Mcmahon, thought we had something sneaky on our agenda, and wouldn't let us into the building! Do you know what that tells me? That tells me that Vincent Kennedy Mcmahon is afraid of WCW! In fact, the ole' mighty Vincent Kennedy Mcmahon, seems to be afraid of Eric Bischoff! Well, Vince, if you aren't scared of WCW, you WILL be! Because Vince, if you want another war, WCW will bring you a war! You see Vince, the WWE is not as strong as it once was. But WCW.. is stronger then ever! Now I'm not talking about an invasion, I'm talking about raiding talent. Oh yeah, that's right. Remember the days when you never knew who would be showing up where? Do you want that Vince? If thats what you want Vince, it will be my pleasure to crush you! I suggest, you start taking care of that underused talent you have Vince. The crowd cheer at the chance to see some WWE underused talent in the WCW. Eric smirks and then raises the mic to speak. Eric Bischoff- Now that we got that out of the away, let me take this time to announce the two main events for the evening. After the events that took place last week, and with Jeff Jarrett facing Ron Killings at Bash At The Beach, and Triple X facing Rey Mysterio and Konnan on the same night.. I think its only fitting for a little 6 man tag, right here tonight! Now.. as for the second main event of the evening.. Bischoff is cut off by a drum beat and then "Goldberg's March" hits. The fans erupt in cheers, but Bischoff looks a little annoyed. Goldberg then emerges through the pyro in a white tank top with his logo on it, and black track pants with a white line on each side. And dont forget the WCW title on his shoulder. He makes his way down the ramp with a real focused look on his face. Goldberg gets in the ring, and stands there, staring at Bischoff, not looking happy. Eric Bischoff- Can I help you?? Goldberg walks over to the other side of the ropes and calls for a mic, before walking back to the center of the ring. Goldberg- You're damn right you can help me. Let me ask you a question, Bischoff. Did you happen to catch the end of last week's show? Yeah, I thought so. So I'm sure you saw Booker T. attack me, and leave me in a heap of blood, and celebrate with MY title. It's not going down like that, believe me. So as for you helping me.. yeah there is something you can help me with. Now I know I get Booker at Bash At The Beach, so he will get what's coming to him in 13 days. But as far as tonight goes, I think that Booker's partner in crime.. the man who helped Booker attack me from behind backstage last week.. Monty Brown.. I think July 18th, right here in Knoxville, Tennessee, is the perfect time and place for Monty Brown to pay for his sins. Bischoff smirks and looks around at the cheering crowd.. Eric Bischoff- You want the Alphamale tonight? Well ladies and gentlemen, Goldberg, tonight the main event will be... Goldberg... versus... Monty Brown! Goldberg smirks as Bischoff drops the mic and "I'm Back" rehits. Bischoff rolls out of the ring and heads up the ramp, while Goldberg stands in the ring with a big grin on his face. The camera then cuts backstage to the lockerroom of Kevin Nash and Sean Waltman. Kevin is sitting on the couch in street clothes, while Waltman is pumping himself up and is in his wrestling gear. Kevin Nash- So, who you got tonight?
Syxx-Pac- Michael Shawn, or something like that. Like it matters.. tonight I'm going to send a messege out to that punkass Kid Kash!
Kevin Nash- Michael Shawn? Who is Michael Shawn? I think you got the name wrong man.
Syxx-Pac- Yeah I think your right, I think it is Mitchell Shawn.
Kevin Nash- Hey, "RVD",I think you been smoking to much.
Waltman laughs at Nash's reference to Rob Van Dam's drug problem.He then changes his voice to get his best "RVD" impression.
Syxx-Pac- I may not know my opponents name, but thats cool. Because everything is cool when you're.. Rob.. Van.. Dam!
The two laugh, mostly because they get to take a shot at one of WWE's stars.
Kevin Nash- Well, Mr. Monday Night, enjoy sending your little messege out to Kid Kash tonight, but try to not to get in to much trouble, because I would like to enjoy my night off, without getting hit in the head with another chairshot.
Syxx-Pac- Me? Trouble? Ah, come on Kev. You just need to chill..
Kevin Nash- That is exactly what I want to do! So be careful out there.
Syxx-Pac- Oh don't you worry, because if Kid Kash or that freak try to get involved, I'll just have to give them a preview of Bash At The Beach. It's true, it's damn true!
Kevin Nash- Now that my friend, is cool.
Syxx-Pac- Worldlife!
Kevin Nash- Would you please, shut the hell up, and go out there and show your peeps why you are the cruiserweight champion?
Syxx-Pac- Because I am the game.. and I ruined Raw, because I had to have a boring 20 minute promo every show and can't go 3 months without having the title?
The two laugh, always enjoying the chance to make fun of the WWE. We then go down to the anouncer table.
Tony Schiavone- Well.. apparently.. Sean Waltman and Kevin Nash enjoy impersonating WWE Superstars. What do you think Professor?
Mike Tenay- That was fantastic! These two may have a future in impersonations!
The lights then dim and "Masterpiece" hits. The crowd boo as Chris Masters steps out on stage with a robe draped over him. He kneels down and then flicks it off and proudly displays his TV title. He does his usual flexing, before continuing down the ramp. He climbs in the ring and then grabs a mic.
Chris Masters- Ya' know, last week, I was being interviewed, when a certain individual took it upon himself, to interupt my interview. And that individual, is A..J..Styles. And as you all know, I challenge AJ to a match right here tonight.. BUT.. I changed my mind! You see, I used to have this thing over at WWE, called the Masterlock challenge.. so I said to myself.. "Self.. if AJ Styles is so Phenominal, then he should be able to break the Masterlock." Well.. we are going to find out right here tonight. So Phenominal One, come on down!
"I Am.." hits as the crowd erupts in cheers as AJ Styles walks out on the ramp. He has his hood over his face, and the jacket and tights are green and black. He looks up, and knocks off his hood and smirks at Masters and shakes his head. He makes his way into the ring, while Masters sets a chair in the middle of the ring.
Chris Masters- Now how this works, is you sit in the chair, I'll lock in the Masterlock, and we will see just how much of a phenom you are. Now take a seat..
Masterlock Challenge- AJ Styles
AJ sits down in the chair with a smirk on his face. Masters unbuckles his title from his waiste and then stares at it and begins to laugh. He then walks over to Styles, and acts like he is going to lock in the Masterlock, but then just nails him in the back of the head with the title! Styles falls straight down to the mat, as Masters laughs and taunts Styles.
NO DECISION.
Mike Tenay- Oh my God! Chris Masters makes me sick!
Masters celebrates with his title as we take our first commercial break.
Commercial Break.
We return as Eric Bischoff is in his office, and AJ Styles then barges in.
AJ Styles- ERIC! I WANT CHRIS MASTERS AT BASH AT THE BEACH!
Eric Bischoff- You know what AJ, thats not a bad idea. So at Bash At The Beach, AJ Styles will challenge Chris Masters for the TV title, how does that sound.
AJ Styles- That sounds awesome. At Bash At The Beach, I will show Chris Masters why I'm called the Phenominal One, when I whoop his ass, and take his TV title!
AJ exits the lockerroom and Bischoff smirks to himself.
Mike Tenay- Another great match added to Bash At The Beach! The camera then switches to the entrance of the arena, where Bret Hart walks inside.
Tony Schiavone- Bret Hart is here!
We return to the ring where Michael Shane is already in the ring, awaiting his opponent. "Syxx-Pac" hits and Sean Waltman makes his way to the ring to a big pop. He taunts with the cruiserweight title before the bell rings.
Nontitle- Michael Shane vs Sean Waltman
Finish- Michael Shane started out with the advantage, but Waltman quickly turned it around and took control. Shane goes for the superkick, but Waltman ducked and spun him around, before nailing the X-Factor for the 3 count.
Winner- Sean Waltman
Waltman celebrates with the title, when Kid Kash rolls in the ring and tries to clothesline Waltman, who ducks, and nails Kash with a Spinning Heel Kick. Kash then falls into the turnbuckle. The crowd goes wild as Waltman runs and hits the Bronco Buster! Waltman then turns around into a Black Hole Slam from Abyss, who came from nowhere! Abyss then helps Kash to his feet, before "Big Sexy" hits and the crowd goes nuts as Kevin Nash comes down the ramp. He climbs in the ring and Kash charges at him and gets nailed with a Big Boot! Abyss then goes to clothesline Nash, but he ducks. He knees Abyss in the ribs and then lifts him up in the air an nails the Jacknife Powerbomb! He then picks him back up and clotheslines Abyss out of the ring! "Big Sexy" rehits as Nash helps Waltman to his feet and the two celebrate. The scene then goes backstage to the lockerroom of Rey Mysterio and Konnan.
Rey Mysterio- Yo, Konnan, tonight we are going to get a little payback for Triple X, attacking me last week.
Konnan- Oh yeah, those two cranberries are going to pay for last week, right here tonight, holmes.
Rey Mysterio- And in 13 days, at Bash At The Beach, we are going to retain these tag titles, and show Triple X why we are the best tag team in WCW.
Konnan goes to respond, but the door then opens and "The Truth" Ron Killings steps in. He slaps hands with Rey and Konnan before speaking.
Ron Killings- Whatup fella's? Listen, tonight, we are all out for a little payback. Well tonight, we are going to work as a unit, ya' know? Now, K-Dawg I worked as a team with you before, and Rey.. I'm sure you could tag with anybody, so we shouldn't have a problem. Now you two, take care of xXx, because I got a lil' sumtin', sumtin' for the "King Of The Mountain", ya' dig?
Konnan- Oh yeah, Ron, we dig. Let's do this! The three slap hands and exit the lockeroom.
Commercial Break.
We return and immediately "Hart Attack" hits and the fans go nuts as Bret Hart walks out on stage. He is in a Maple Leaf t-shirt and blue jeans. Bret smirks at the cheers and continues to the ring. He climbs in and grabs a mic, and waits for the cheers to die down so he can speak.
Bret Hart- Ya' know, last week, Petey Williams came to this ring, and he gave a little speech. Petey Williams stated that I was a disgrace to Professional Wrestling and that I was a disgrace to Canada. Well, Petey also said that I stood in the spotlight of all the other Canadian wrestlers, especially himself. Petey, you know it, I know it, the fans know it, and any other Canadian wrestler knows it, if it wasn't for Bret Hart, there would be NO Petey Williams! I didn't steal your spotlight, I paved the way for you! And you know it! I am sick and tired of hearing you whine and moan about how these people cheer for me and boo you. Petey, at Bash At The Beach, I will teach you a lesson about respect! And after the Bash, you won't be complaining about how the fans boo you, you will be complaining about how you got your ass kicked by THIS old man! I will show you why I am called the excellence of execution! I will show you that I am the best there was, that I am still the best there is, and will always BE THE BEST THERE EVER WILL BE!
The crowd cheers as Bret drops the mic and "Hart Attack" rehits. Bret begins to exit the ring, but Petey Williams rolls in the ring, coming from the crowd. He goes to attack Hart, but the Hitman turns around. Williams goes for a clothesline, but Hart ducks. He then kicks Williams in the ribs and nails him with a clothesline of his own! Hart then grabs Williams leg and about to put him in the Sharpshooter, but Williams gets a leg free and then kicks Hart right between the legs! Hart falls to his knees, as Williams gets to his feet. Williams lifts up Hart and then nails him with the Canadian Destroyer! Hart gets to his feet and taunts the booing crowd. He then laughs and grabs Harts legs, and puts him in a SHARPSHOOTER! Finally, security comes out and pulls Williams away from Hart, as we go to the announce table.
Mike Tenay- What a despicable act from Petey Williams! A complete lack of respect for "The Hitman" Bret Hart!
Tony Schiavone- I can't believe that Petey Williams had the gall to put Hart in the Sharpshooter! Well Bret Hart, is walking backstage on his own, which is a good sign. These two are going to destroy each other in 13 days!
"xXx Gonna Give It To Ya" hits and the crowd boo as Primetime and the Fallen Angel make their way to the ring. "My World" hits and Jeff Jarrett then makes his way to the ring to major heat. He taunts with his guitar, before "619" hits and the crowd erupts in cheers as the tag champs make their way to the ring. They wait at the bottom of the ramp as "The Truth" hits and the US Champ makes his way down the ramp to a huge pop. He meets Mysterio and Konnan at the bottom of the ramp and the three all roll in at the same time, and immediately go at it with xXx and Jarrett.
Mysterio/Konnan/Killings vs xXx/Jarrett
Finish- Absolutely fantastic matchup between the 6 men, really putting on a show. Killings and Jarrett begin to battle out of the ring and through the crowd which leads to the tag champs and xXx. Konnan hits Primetime with a rolling clothesline. Daniels gets nailed by the 619, followed by the West Coast Pop for the 3 Count.
Winners- Mysterio/Konnan/Killings
The tag champs celebrate in the ring, as xXx look on angry from the ramp. We then go backstage where Brock Lesnar. He is in a black tanktop with his logo on it and black track pants.
Tony Schiavone- What is Lesnar doing? It looks like he is on his way out here!

We return as "Here Comes The Pain" hits and Brock Lesnar makes his way to the ring to a huge pop. He gets in the ring and immediately grabs a mic. Brock Lesnar- First things first, let me make a little shoutout to the man that cost me my number one contenders match, last week. MONTY BROWN! I just got back from Eric Bischoff's office, and he granted me a little favor. Ya' see, in 13 days.. at Bash At The Beach, its going to be Brock Lesnar.. versus.. Monty Brown! Now I also asked for a match tonight, but unfortunately Booker T. was given the night off, and is not here tonight. But if you haven't noticed, I am in a pretty pissed off mood. So tonight, I am issuing an open challenge to anybody.. ANYBODY that wants to step up, tonight! Come on.. LETS GO! Lesnar paces in the ring waiting, before "Who's Betta" hits and Kanyon walks out on stage with a mic in hand. Kanyon- Ya' know something, Lesnar? Woops, dumb question, everyone already know you don't know nothin'! Now I always ask the question.. Who's Betta' Than Kanyon. Well certainly, not Brock Lesnar! While I haven't even got a chance to be on Nitro, you come out running your mouth about how you would be WCW Champion. Well you ain't! And let me ask ya' something.. how many matches have you lost? That's right, 2. And how many matches have you won? ZERO! So we all know that you ain't betta' than Kanyon. So, I accept your challenge! Kanyon then drops the mic and continues to the ring. Tony Schiavone- Kanyon must have a deathwish! Brock Lesnar vs Kanyon.
Finish- Total squash match with Kanyon getting barely any offense. Brock hits the F5 to end the match.
Winner- Brock Lesnar
Brock picks up Kanyon and hurls him out of the ring. He taunts the crowd, but is then nailed with a PPOOOOUUNNNNCCCEEEE!! Monty Brown came out of nowhere! Brown taunts the booing crowd before rolling out of the ring and grabbing a chair. He rolls back in and waits for Lesnar to get up. Lesnar uses the ropes to climb to his feet but turns around into a hellacious chair shot! Lesnar is busted open, and Brown continues to hit him in the back/ribs/kidney areas, over and over. Agents and staff members finally pull Brown off of Lesnar, as we go backstage where Scott Hudson is with Petey Williams.
Scott Hudson- Petey Williams..
Petey Williams- Ah, just shut the hell up. BRET HART! I hope you enjoyed tonight, because that is exactly what will happen to you at Bash At The Beach. Now I am going to make this short and sweet. Next week, I will be facing a man from your past on Nitro! And I will show you a preview of what I will do to you at the Bash, to get MY respect!
Williams then pushes Hudson out of the way and storms off.

Tony Schiavone- Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to Monday Night Nitro, we are being informed that Brock Lesnar, has just been sent to Blount Memorial hospital, after that vicious attack from Monty Brown.
Mike Tenay- We were also told that Brock Lesnar was refusing to go, and Eric Bischoff had to threaten to take away his match with Brown at Bash At The Beach, just so that Lesnar would go to the hospital!
Tony Schiavone- Speaking at Bash At The Beach, it is only 13 Days Away! WCW is returning to PPV and it is returning in a big way! The Theme is "Face To Face" by Sevendust. In a match announced earlier tonight, it will be AJ Styles challenging for the TV title against Chris Masters!
Mike Tenay- For the Cruiserweight Championship, Kid Kash will challenge Sean Waltman.
Tony Schiavone- Kevin Nash will be out for revenge for Scott Hall against Abyss. Also the tag team titles will be on the line when xXx challenges Rey Mysterio and Konnan.
Mike Tenay- Don't forget the United States Championship match when Jeff Jarrett will face Ron Killings. And just announced moments ago, it will be a battle when Brock Lesnar will face Monty Brown!
Tony Schiavone- And the match I am most looking forward to, Bret Hart will return to the ring to face Petey Williams!
Mike Tenay- And for the WCW Heavyweight Championship, Booker T. will challenge Bill Goldberg!
"Can You Dig It Sucka?" hits and the crowd boos as Booker T. walks out on stage.
Mike Tenay- BOOKER T?! I thought he wasn't here tonight!
Booker doesn't do his usual entrance, just walks to the ring. He is in a black Booker T. shirt and track pants. He climbs in the ring and grabs a mic.
Booker T.- Now I know, that I wasn't supposed to be here tonight.. by Knoxville, you are now being treated by the words of Booker T.! I don't even need to ask if yall' can dig that! Now Goldberg, we are just 13 days away, dawg. 13 Days till' I become a 6 time WCW Champ. 13 Days till' I shut the big dog's mouth one and for all. Now Goldberg, that oversized ego of yours, and this suckup fans out here, might think that Goldberg will be walking out of the Bash as WCW Champ. But don't kid yourself dawg. Goldberg, this company, this company is all about the Booker man! Booker T. is the face of WCW! That is why WCW is a disgrace with a punkass like you as champion. So at Bash At The Beach, when I pin your ass for the 1,2,3 you betta' save the drama.. fo' yo' mama! Because Booker T. WILL BE.. a 6 time, 6 time, 6 time, 6 time, 6 time, 6 TIME WCW CHAMPION! NOW CAN YOU DIG THAT... SUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCKKKKKAAAAAAAA?!!!
Booker is about to exit the ring before, "I'm Back" hits and Eric Bischoff walks out on stage with a mic in hand.
Eric Bischoff- Booker.. Booker, I hope you don't have any thoughts about interfering in tonight's main event. Because Booker, you are BARRED from ringside!
Eric drops the mic as his music rehits after his short messege, while Book is irate in the ring.
Commercial Break.
We return as "Alphamale" hits and Monty Brown makes his way to the ring to major heat in his red trunks. He gets in the ring and taunts, before "Goldberg's March" hits. Pyro shoots up and the WCW Champion walks through them and is in his black and white tights from WWE. He punches and kicks the air as more pyro shoots off. The crowd chants his name as he gets in the ring and goes face to face with Monty Brown.
NONTITLE- Monty Brown vs Goldberg
Finish- Great psychical matchup between these two strong competitors. Brown runs off the ropes and goes for the Pounce but Goldberg moves. Brown hits the ropes on the other side of the ring, and bounces into a SPEAR! Goldberg yells and then lifts him up, before bringing him back down with a huge Jackhammer. He covers and gets the 3 Count.
Winner- Goldberg
Mike Tenay- Goldberg wins! Goldberg has done it!
Goldberg celebrates with his title, as Booker T. runs down the ramp. Goldberg turns around and sees Booker, who stops dead in his tracks. Booker T. then backs up the ramp, keeping his eye on Goldberg. Goldberg stands on the second rope and yells, "Your Ass Is Next!" as Nitro fades to black.
