Yeah, I looked up the particulars...

If Arrington doesn't meet ANY of his incentive clauses, the contract pays about 3 mil a year. Also, the signing bonus was only about 5.6 mil, which is less than 1 mil per year if prorated over the life of the contract.

So, basically, if Arrington doesn't perform, the cap hit they would take for cutting him would be manageable. I think the risk-reward scenario for the Giants here is fantastic.

Plus, he's good friends with Antonio Pierce from their days in Washington, and he was college teammates with Brandon Short (who came back to the Giants after a two-year stint with the Panthers). I'm VERY excited about this signing
