| Ok, I guess its my turn to weigh in on this situation. Like all of you, I'd really like to know all of the specific details but it was obviously serious to warrant this kind of punishment and we all know his past so I can understand you guys wanting to get rid of him but I have to disagree.
Here's why..
WWE is a business unlike that of a normal company. I can relate it to sports. You guys are right, in the real world a guy like Orton, doesn't matter if he's the best damn carpenter or whatever, he'd be gone. Cut the losses and be done with it.
WWE unfortunately has to treat certain people differently. We would all bitch most likely if someone like Val Venis did the same things as Orton and got fired, but you have to understand that's the way it works. Now, you don't turn into WCW and let the wrestlers rule the place, You are still the owner and you still call all the shots.. But with a guy like Orton, he gets more chances then Val Venis. It's just the way it has to be. WWE nees ratings, they need to be able o put the best talent out there week after week and especially with all the injuries, Orton's value is at an all-time high.
I feel like because its Orton, as a company they need to give him one more chance to turn his attitude and behavior around. They can't afford to lose people like this. |
