TNA Impact!

We open impact in the usual way with the pyro and the camera panning around the impact zone. Inside the ring we are all ready to go for the Samoa Joe contract signing and Jim Cornette is awaiting.

Cornette:
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to tonight’s edition of impact. At this time, I’d like Samoa Joe to make his way out to the ring so that we can finally get this contract signed.

Joe along with his advisor Kevin Nash make their way into the impact zone to a fairly nice reception from those inside the impact zone. Joe and Nash make their way to the ring as Cornette waits patiently. Joe and Nash finally enter the ring but instead of going straight to the table, Joe grabs a mic from Cornette.

Joe:
Well Jim, I guess its time for me to give you what you and everyone else has been waiting for, or am I?

You see, me and the big man here got to thinking, before I do finally sign this contract, I want to add a cherry on the top. Last sunday Kurt Angle once again retained the Heavyweight title and I’ve decided because of Destination X coming up, I want to be in the main event.
You know it’s the right decision and the fans know it’s the right decision. I am this company’s best performer and yet I keep on getting over looked time and time again for these rejects that come in from that other company and get handed the title.

So Jim what’s it to be, do I get my title match and do you get what you want or do I have to cause enough trouble around here before I get what I want?

Cornette: Joe, I suppose you think you’ve got me, well in a way you have. As you know the people above me have been adamant about getting you to sign a contract and if my job wasn’t on the line then you wouldn’t be pushing me around as much as you have been.

However, my job is on the line so Joe, at Destination X, you wi…………..

Just as Cornette was speaking, he is interrupted by Scott Steiner. Steiner appears on the ramp along with Rhaka Khan. Steiner has a mic in one hand and one of his briefcases in the other.

Steiner:
Cornette, before you go giving away title matches like they were candy, I’d just like to remind you, inside this briefcase I have a guaranteed title shot to use anytime I want to, and I’ve decided that its time for Scott Steiner to cash in.
At Destination X, Scott Steiner shall become the TNA Heavyweight Champion.

Cornette is now having a fit inside the ring.

Cornette: Joe, this has put me in quite some predicament. You see, Scott has an automatic shot and he’s now decided to use it and I cannot refuse him. And Joe, because you are yet to earn an opportunity, I cannot put you in that match, at this moment.

Joe, I will give you your opportunity and also if I give you an opportunity I have to give one to Christian Cage.

Christian is unfortunately not here at this moment however I was contacted by him earlier today with him begging me to get another chance at Kurt Angle and I said I would certainly consider him. And thinking about it, I’ve made a decision.

Joe, you want into the main event at Destination X and so does Cage which really leaves me with one choice, Joe you must face Christian next week and the winner of that match will be added to the match at Destination X and I cannot say fairer than that.

Just as Joe is about to speak, Nash whispers something in his ear and Joe agrees.

Joe: Well that sounds fair enough but I’m still not signing your contract until I am in that main event. However as for tonight, I seem to be at a bit of a loose end and I’m after some competition so how about you make me vs. Steiner tonight?

Jim: Your on.

With this, Steiner stares down at Joe in the ring as impact heads for a commercial break.

As we return from the commercial break, we are ready for the first match of the night.

Match 1
TNA Knockouts Championship Rematch from Against All Odds
Awesome Kong vs. O.D.B

In what turned out to be one phenomenal match, Awesome Kong came out victorious but only just. Kong had to endure a heavy onslaught from the challenger as the fight went all the way around the impact zone.

Anything that wasn’t nailed down in the impact zone was certainly used to good effect during this match. Chairs, tables and even a mop came into effect during this match.

Kong eventually got the win after sending O.D.B through a table with the Awesome Bomb.

Awesome Kong defeated O.D.B in 10.41 to retain the Knockouts Title.

As Kong celebrates in the ring, Gail Kim appears on the ramp and looks to be walking with intent towards the ring until she is stopped by Angelina Love, Velvet Sky and around 5 security guards.
Kim is struggling to get to Kong, who is taunting her from inside the ring, but Kim cannot break through the bodies in front of her and reluctantly she retreats but not before motioning to everyone that she wants her gold back.

Backstage, Crystal has caught up with TNA Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle.

Crystal:
Kurt, tonight its been announced you will be defending your title at Destination X against possibly 3 different opponents, how are you feeling right now?

Kurt: How the hell do you think I’m feeling? Its bad enough having to face Scott Steiner but with the possibility of having to face either Joe or Christian is beyond rational. I really don’t know what Cornette was thinking putting Joe and Cage into a qualifying match for a shot at my title.

Surely because I’m the champion I should have a little say on who my opponents are going to be, I mean, I’m Kurt “Frickin” Angle, Olympic Gold medallist and currently your Heavyweight Champion. Cornette can not get away with this and I’m going to make sure he doesn’t.

Just as Kurt is walking off, he is confronted by Matt Morgan.

Morgan: And where exactly do you think your going?

Kurt: I’m off to see Cornette.

Morgan: I don’t think so. Kurt I’ve been sent here to make sure Mr. Cornette isn’t bothered for the rest of the evening.

Kurt, I have also been informed that if there is any kind of backlash from the announcement that was made tonight regarding the Destination X main event you Kurt will not be walking into Destination X as the champion and that comes from the management.

Kurt is left speechless and is in a state of shock as Morgan departs and we cut to another commercial break.

We are back inside the impact zone and already in the ring awaiting his upcoming match is The Maple Leaf Muscle, Petey Williams along with Rhaka Khan.

Match 2
The Maple Leaf Muscle Petey Williams w/Rhaka Khan vs. James Storm w/ Miss Jacqueline

Fairly good contest between the two, lots of posing from Petey but also some good back and forth action.

The ladies at ringside also got in on the action and had to be separated by security and the referee.

The finish came when Rhino charged through the crowd and over the barricade and gore’d James Storm right out of his boots.

This gave Petey the opening he needed and he promptly hit the Canadian Destroyer for the victory.

Petey Williams defeats James Storm in 7.24

After the match once Petey had exited the ring, Rhino comes back into the ring with mic in hand.

Rhino: Storm, this is only the beginning, at Destination X, you will fall to your hell.

Rhino stands over Storm with a slightly sinister look in his eyes.

Commercial break.

As impact returns, Mike Tenay is in the ring with mic in hand.

Tenay: Ladies and Gentlemen, tonight Jim Cornette was meant to make a big announcement regarding the tag division however with Mr Cornette being unavailable I am here to make the announcement.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I am pleased to announce that in the build up to Destination X, we are going to have an 8 team tournament to determine the brand new number one contenders who will then get a title shot at the PPV.

Over the next 3 weeks, we will hold single elimination matches to determine the new challengers with the eventual winners facing the tag champions at Destination X.

The current teams that will be competing in the tournament are as follows:

The Motor City Machine Guns
LAX
The Rock ‘n’ Rave Infection
Team 3D
Curryman & Shark Boy
Black Reign & Rellik

There will be 2 surprise teams as well for this tournament but as of yet, their names will not be announced until there matches.

So there you ha…………….

As Tenay is finishing, he is interrupted by the screens on the impact zone flashing up with a countdown clock which is indicating it will finish at the Destination X PPV.

The words “TNA is about to go 5 Stars!” are also flashing up on the screen as the clock begins its countdown.

The screen then flicks back to Tenay in the ring who looks on with a shocked expression.

The picture now cuts to a black car pulling up outside the impact zone and stepping out is Christian Cage!

Cage has a determined look on his face and is nearly instantly jumped upon by Jeremy Borash.

Borash: Christian, do you have anything to say about what was announced earlier tonight?

Cage: Jeremy, at this moment in time, I have no comment to make except this, Samoa Joe, you are not going to Destination X that’s been reserved for the Instant Classic, Christian Cage.

Now Jeremy, do you have anymore challenging questions?

Borash: Do you think you stand a chance against Joe and for that matter, Angle or Steiner?

Cage: Of course I stand a chance, hell I stand more of a chance that any of those mentioned. After all I am Christian Cage, the man who went undefeated in TNA for over a year and should still be the heavyweight champion, which by the way, I shall regain at Destination X once I defeat the Samoan Loser, Joe next week.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got places to be.

Cage exits and Borash is left standing next to the car.

Match 3
The Motor City Machine Guns vs. Curryman And Shark Boy

In a preview to the tag team tournament, The Guns, Curryman and Shark Boy put on an exhibition worthy of both the tag division and the X Division.

Plenty of high flying and spots that pleased all in attendance.

The victory came when Chris Sabin managed to get Shark Boy up for the cradle shock and pins his shoulders to the mat.

The Motor City Machine Guns defeat Curryman and Shark Boy in 14.42

In a show of respect, The Guns and Curryman & Shark Boy shake hands after the match which is appreciated by all inside the impact zone.

Commercial Break

We return to backstage to Robert Roode along with Payton Banks and interviewer Crystal.

Crystal:
Robert, at Against All Odds, you and Booker T managed to both get counted out during your match, do you have any plans on facing him again?

Roode: Crystal, Booker T and I have only just begun, at Against All Odds I was disappointed our match did not go longer as all I wanted was to get my hands on him and hurt him. I wanted to hurt him as much as I hurt his wife when I broke her jaw.

When we do finally come face to face again, I can guarantee he will find out why Robert Roode is money in TNA.

Crystal: And what are your thoughts regarding Traci Brooks?

Roode: Brooks is nothing more than a cheap woman who used me to get to where she is today. Payton Banks on the other hand is a classy woman who should not of lost at the PPV and the next time the two meet, Payton is going to be the one who comes out on top, Brooks got lucky and next time it will not be the same outcome.

As Roode finishes his last statement, Booker T jumps Roode from behind and the two begin an all out brawl.

The fight goes all around the impact zone and they make it out to the ring where the fight carries on for a few minutes before security rush in and break the two up.

As security are separating the two, Matt Morgan appears on top the ramp.

Morgan: Enough is enough. If you two are so hell bent on destroying each other then I’ve got a proposition for you both. If the two of you can manage to not attack and beat each other up unless in an official match, I will grant you a match for Destination X, and not just any match, the match you will compete in will give you both what you want and no restrictions.

That is however if you can contain yourselves until Destination X and if you can then you can gladly tear each other apart when you square off in your no holds barred match.

Now, do we have a deal?

Both Booker and Roode smile and accept what has been offered to them.

Morgan: Oh and one more thing, next week you shall compete in an intergender tag match and Booker, your partner will be Traci Brooks and obviously your partner Robert will be Payton Banks.

With this, Morgan retreats down the tunnel as Booker and Roode point fingers and do some jaw jacking at each other.

Commercial Break

As we return, the stage is set for the main event of the evening.

Match 5 & Main Event
Samoa Joe w/Kevin Nash vs. Scott Steiner w/ Rhaka Khan

In the main event of the evening, Joe and Steiner put on a fantastic technical match which thrilled all inside the impact zone.

Both men managed to pull off a great match with plenty of holds, suplexes and submissions.

The finish came when an attempted distraction by Rhaka Khan backfired for Steiner.

Khan got onto the apron and distracted the referee as Petey Williams ran from the back with a briefcase in hand. Williams managed to take Nash out with a shot from the briefcase and then slid into the ring and attempted to hit Joe with the briefcase.

Joe managed to duck the shot and Williams nailed Steiner in the head. Joe removed Williams and then locked in the rear naked choke on Steiner and Steiner had no place to go and tapped out.

Samoa Joe defeats Scott Steiner in 24.21 in the main event.

After the match as Joe celebrates, Christian Cage speeds to the ring and the two begin a brawl in the ring.

As Joe and Cage brawled, Kurt Angle also made his way out and began a beat down on Steiner and managed to lock in the ankle lock on Steiner.

Angle then breaks the hold on Steiner and turns his attention to Joe who he promptly manages to hit the Olympic Slam on and this sends Joe to the outside.

Angle himself then begins to celebrate and doesn’t notice Christian walking up behind him. Cage catches Angle by surprise and levels Angle with the Unprettier.

Cage is now the only man standing and grabs the Heavyweight Belt from beside Angle and climbs to the closest turnbuckle and holds the belt high above his head as impact finishes.
