| Re: TNA Impact sucks I think the point TD is trying to make, which I haven't seen you address, is that while a change in ratings is a good thing for the company as a whole, it doesn't actually make them any money. Aside from the moment when they're re-negotiating a contract with the network, ratings don't actually mean anything. It's the ticket sales, merchandise, and PPV sales that make bank.
If TNA are focusing more on ratings than on PPV buys, then they're going down the same road WCW went. Bischoff got so obsessed with the ratings war, that he was giving away PPV matches on free tv, just to try to bump that weeks ratings. TD's right. If Impact isn't encouraging people to part with their money, then it does the company no good. |
