Yes it does. When you are involved in a fight and the adrenaline is pumping you don't stop to say "Wait a minute, is this against the rules?" it just kind of happens. You have to train yourself not to do it.
That is human nature.
It will take him a while to get used to that. Even fighters who have been in MMA for 10 or 15 years still slip up from time to time.
