5 hours.......5 hours and I dont think we learned ANYTHING, did we? It was embarrasing as an American. This was such a bad case of Republicans vs. Democrats. It was obvious to anyone that was watching that there were people that wanted to bash McNamee and not Clemens, and vice versa. There was no agenda on exposing the truth, but to catch people in lies and hope they would deliver the leading question on Sportscenter. Also, if they were hell bent on exposing Clemens or McNamee they would have brought Pettite in no matter how uncomfortable he would have been.
"What hat are you wearing into the Hall of Fame?" Are you serious? That was an actual question asked by a Congressman.
Meanwhile, an 18 year old U.S. Soldier dies from a IED in Iraq as the question is being asked.
This was pathetic on so many levels it wasnt even funny.
Then you have the whole Arlon Spector thing with Spygate. He openly says on the record. "I only start investigating this because my Eagles may have been scammed out a Superbowl win" Wha-wha-what?!?!?
I am the biggest Roger guy in the world. Well, I should say I WAS. My idolizing of Clemens is well documented throughout the past 20 years. Now I am left with my dick in my hand, because someone I looked up to for so long is dragging his own reputation and legacy through the mud. If he just admitted to it in the first place ala Giambi, Pettite and Knoblaugh then people would be disappointed in him, but they would have eventually understood when the numbers come out on just how many people actually were on the juice at the time. |
