| Senior Bowl Week Impressions Interesting game for people interested in the upcoming NFL draft, really showed some things I otherwise wouldn't have thought. Players On The Rise
#1 North Quaterbacks
Guys who were in the third round in this group have moved up in to the second, border line first round picks. Chad Henne has a chance to be the third QB taken in the upcoming draft if he can keep up his work in the NFL Combine. J.D Booty and Joe Flacco both looked good but each have holes in there games that need to be tweaked (foot work for Flacco and Accuracy on the run for Booty). #2 DT Trevor Laws
Slightly over looked because of his schools record has been hard to block all week in the practices. Picking up a gift fumble from Andre Woodson and being around the ball on almost every play raises his stock in to the second round to me. # 3 CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie
A very athletic corner, great open tackling in open space, insane Vertical and seems to be in good coverage almost every time the play is around him combined with a great week of practice. I could see him pushing his way to the mid second round also if not at the lower end of it. He played Safety during some of the practices this week and played pretty well, though if any team wanted to move him he would have to put on some more muscle. #4 DE Sedrick Ellis
In all fairness, hes above anybody I've ranked on the rise but because of how highly regraded he was coming in to Practice I've ranked him lower. Hes shown everything that was said about him in game and in practice. Top Ten pick before the game, pushing top 5 after the game. Honorable Mentions
RB Tashard Choice
Showed alot in game power and speed wise, probably doesn't move up, doesn't move down either. SS Tom Zibikowski
Played solid, any team that drafts him gets a good project at Safety and a very talented punt returner as well. Free Falling
#1 South Quaterbacks*
Brennan looked uncomfortable under center and toke way to long to throw the ball in his release. Woodson fell apart with decent pressure throwing uncharacteristically bad passes almost every time he droped back, Fumbling while trying to keep a play alive and giving up a safety drops his stock till the combine. *Eric Ainge did however play decent during from what I saw #2 South Offensive Line
This could be a credit to the front seven they lined up against but they had some problems keeping people away from the quaterback. John Sulivan in particular had a hard time with blocking all night from what I saw of him. Alot of the runs that Forte and Choice broke off were to the left and right of him or on screens.
Anyone agree, disagree? anyone else deserving of credit for there play? |
