Well.. I'm a Penguins fan and while I agree that there will probably never be another Gretzsky, it's pretty harsh to label Sid the Kid as overrated. Didn't he win the Hart Trophy at 19?

I think the most overrated players are those who come from big markets because they receive a shitload of attention from the media and aren't really anything special at their positions. Two off the top of my head would be Curt Schilling of the Red Sox and Jeremy Shockey of the Giants. Neither of their teams really need them to succeed, they both run their mouths way too much, in Schilling's case he's way past his prime.. a shell of his former self and with Shockey, you can't drop that many balls and be the best tight end in the league but the media treats him as such.
