Jeff certainly doesn't have the look of a WWE Champion, but I have seen worse champs I suppose. Don't think he will win the title at Rumble either. Instead, I think Jeff should get involved with another upper-mid carder over the IC title, and make it worth something. Actually defend the IC title at Wrestlemania (I believe it's been a while since this has happened).
I like the intriuge of a Matt vs. Jeff program for the IC title. Wouldn't necessarily have to turn one heel, but put a "family rivalry" spin on it. Maybe Matt gets jealous of Jeff's popularity and shot at a title. After Jeff loses at RR, Matt makes some under-the-breath comment about how he didn't think Jeff really could beat Orton. This could spark a "feud" between the two. |
