Re: Brian Billick Fired by Ravens

Damn Mac doesn't support this forum.

2 things

1.) Cowboys won't win shit if they play like they did in the last three games (I know the Skins game was backups for 70% but damn the offense stunk in the 1st half). Now defenses don't have to double team Owens they can go man and put 8 in the box to stop Barber and Jones which worked a treat for the Skins. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the Cowboys get sunk in the playoffs.

2.) Billick had to go this year but I do feel for him. I don't know who wanted McNair in Baltimore this year but they want shooting because whilst the guy is a legend he is no where near as mobile as he was and his passing ain't too great. But the Ravens recruitment on offense is questionable at best, they have no decent receivers especially underneath, take Masons long ball away and they have Clayton who is average at best.

They have no QB (although I liked Smith these last 2 weeks) they have no decent dependable WR, they have a good running back but a shitty line thats only decent when Ogden plays and he's pretty much done. Ben Grubbs is good for a rookie but there weren't that many holes for McGahee expect against the league scrubs.

He may be an offensive guru but with a no name offense and a banged up defense Billick had no chance at all in creating a all purpose O. For me Billick seems like a scapegoat for a backroom staff who have screwed up.
