The Poughkeepsie Tapes is a faux documentary horror film to be released in 2008.[1] Most of the filming was done in upstate New York. The film was directed by John Dowdle and produced by Brothers Dowdle Productions. The brothers, originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, cast Minneapolis-St. Paul station KSTP-TV news anchors in the film's news scenes.[2] The main protagonist is played by Stacy Chbosky who is the director's wife.[1]
