Re: Pats' year of perfection capped by thrilling comeback win over Giants

As a Niner fan, I thought it was cool when Jerry Rice went on the NFL network and said that Randy Moss should have an asterisk because he (Rice) caught 22tds in 12 games. He was joking of course, but I still thought it was funny.

As for the game.. I'm shocked the Giants played all their starters and I'm even more shocked that they played so well. People will knock Eli because of his awful pick that ended the game, but he has nothing to hang his head about. The guy played the game of his life.. maybe a sign of things to come? Brandon Jacobs was also impressive. That guy is just a fucking bull but pretty nimble too for a big 260lb back.

I have to give it to Brady and Moss. They might be the best QB/WR tandem since Young/Rice. Maybe a little argument from Manning/Harrison. But anyway, they both played a great game as did Welker.

Pats still have a long ways to go before I call them the best ever and that includes winning the super bowl. If anything, the Giants showed once again the weaknesses that the Pats have. If they don't correct them, especially the over-the-middle pass defense, they could certainly be knocked off.
