A college coach's job is to win. People get on Urban Meyer for using Tebow the way he does, but why wouldn't he? Most defenses can't stop Florida's spread offense, so why the hell would Meyer change things? Tebow said he's happy to be a Gator, he always wanted to be a Gator, his parents were Gators.. so I guess he doesn't care that this offense could potentially drop him in the draft, but there's also the possibility that it could help his status. If Florida ran an NFL offense and Tebow didn't play well, maybe it'd scare teams away.. Scouts and everyone else are still intrigued with the kid, so hey.. it must be working and like I said, the team wins. That's Meyer's job. |
