I rarely get into this debate, since I'm not the biggest or most knowledgeable baseball fan, but my feeling is this:
I won't deny that Bonds is one of, if not the greatest hitter of all-time, and I ultimately
respect his accomplishments up until (what I personally see as the time when) he began using performance-enhancing drugs. Even after that point, I'm not denying that he was unbelievably good -- I just think it's kind of (or really) lame that he used drugs to get there.
