Re: McNabb says black QBs under more pressure

Your points are all valid, and this is a hard thing to argue from my side. I just can't ignore the historical (and ongoing) tendency among football people to expect white men to be superior quarterbacks over black men.

When I mentioned Leftwich and Vick, I was suggesting that those doubts seem to be re-emerging with regards to up-and-coming black QBs, especially now that once-great players like McNabb, Culpepper and McNair have dropped off significantly. Obviously, Russell and Young don't exactly reinforce my argument; but for what it's worth, one of those guys went to an organization that was led for years by a terrific black quarterback, and the other was drafted by Al Davis (who loves anyone who's huge and athletic).

By my count, there were actually only six black quarterbacks starting on opening day, and even fewer in Week 2.
