For me it depends on the treatment of animals.
We are talking about a man here who most likely participated in mistreating and then killing dogs. This kind of thing goes on in cock fighting as well.
I don't know if this happens in horse racing but it seems like to me from seeing it on TV occasionally that the animals are well treated there.
If you compare it that way then one doesn't stand up as worse than the other.
I am not a fan of gambling as a hobby btw.
