Re: Michael Owen- Worth it?

Without a doubt he's worth it.

The problem with Michael Owen is, he gets rushed back form injury far too soon. Most of the time it’s because England need him. He should never have played for England at the back end of last season. I believe with Big Sam now in charge at Newcastle, he’ll protect Owen more than Roder did. Owen will be given enough time to recuperate, as Newcastle have Smith and Martins to play up front, which will lessen the burden thrust upon Owens shoulders, due to Shearer’s retirement.

If I were a Newcastle fan, I wouldn’t get rid of him. When he came back at the end of last season he looked as sharp as ever. And when he gets back form this new injury, he’ll be amongst the goals again.
